This museum dedicated to the Mothman is fantastic. It features lots of original articles and letters concerning both the mothman and the men in black, as well as props and pictures from various mothman movies and documentaries. It's only $3 to go in, and don't forget to pick up your Official Mothman Hunting merchandise on the way out!
FOR the curious or Paranormal minded you will step back in time visiting Point Pleasant and Def visit the Mothman Muesuem. LOTS of information and the Bus Tour to the TnT Area did Certainly make me want to Investigate Further!!!!!
The museum was well organized and very conveniently located. They have a great gift shop and friendly customer service.
My family and I have visited the museum multiple times and have always had a great time. They make you feel like family and it is a great place to visit for those who are interested in learning more about the mothman!
We went twice last year. Once in July and again in September during the Mothman Festival. The museum made a total transformation in just 2 months.
My husband and I have been to The Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant,WV for the last 2 years now. And I would very very highly recommend this festival, and of course the Mothman Museum to anyone. This museum and the area itself, have SO much to offer; as far as very rich history, a bit of the paranormal, very nice people, and that great feeling that only a small town like this can give you. I LOVE this place, and always look so forward to going back!!
This is our favorite festival, a very fun entertaining festival, visited the new Mothman Museum, was very interesting, went on the hayride to look for the Mothman, enjoyed the pageant and vendors. Don't miss out on this great festival!
Family from the area and museum was interesting with lots of articles and information about mothman and the silver bridge collapse.
We had to be in Charleston and Nitro for business so we had to make the drive to visit the museum. We were not disappointed! We arrived in town early on Sunday morning and it was quiet and completely deserted except for a couple of local folks outside the Lowe Hotel. This was the perfect opportunity to walk around town and take great photos while waiting for the museum to open. You must go on the other side of the town wall along the river and take in the sights as well. The museum was great and worth the nominal charge to get in. Jeff was fantastic to talk to and shared a great deal of information with us. We would like to thank him for the great directions to the TNT area! We drove right to the exact spot we needed to be at! I highly recommend visiting the museum as well as the town/area in general and taking in the history.
I was not impressed. Though they did do their homework. They laid it out nicely and informatively. My family enjoyed this very much. I just am not into those type of things is all. But please go see it and make up your own mind. If it were something to do with history they would have had to lock me in. So just because I am not into the mothman, don't let my opinion sway you. My sister loved it and will go back. Oh and their T-shirts are very nicely priced. I say this as I am a huge T-shirt purchaser from everywhere we visit haha.
