What a day what a course had so much fun and cant wait to go back loved it!! Our caddy Jason knows how to read greens WHAT A PLACE in love with it haha anyone wanting to go risk it its pretty dear but its 100% worth it for a golfer
Went with my boyfriend and some friends for the annual tree lighting ceremony and dinner buffet. It was not as good as previous years and somewhat disorganized. I live in Sawgrass and often have Happy Hour at the 19th hole, so looked forward to this event.
My husband and I came to TPC Sawgrass this past Saturday. It was an absolute THRILL! We had a great time. Our forecaddie was Scott (he was also from the Midwest - Illinois area). He made the day extra special. He was EVERYWHERE throughout our round - giving distances, cleaning clubs, telling us where to hit, giving us encouragement, giving us FIST BUMPS, taking pictures, telling us stories about the course, keeping pace of play. He knew JUST what to say to make us feel comfortable and have the best round possible. I would encourage anyone out there to have this experience!!! The course was beautiful. These folks do a terrific job all around. It was well worth the money.
My wife & I played the Stadium course with Mitch as our caddie. The course was beautiful and Mitch was one of the best we have ever had & we have played everywhere from Pebble Beach to Pinehurst! It was an awesome experience! If you love golf, you have to go!(PS: I parred # 17)!
a stop in Ponte Vedra Beach allows a visit to the TPC Sawgrass golf. Course. We stopped there on our way from CT to FL and stayed overnight at the Marriott Sawgrass, located next to the course. This is a beautiful hotel. Eat in the clubhouse restaurant where we found the food and service to be excellent. Take the tour with a "storyteller", a volunteer that tells you the history of the course, the clubhouse and the annual tournament, then takes you out for views of the last three holes. Seventeen with the island green is spectacular. If you want to play the course, make your reservations early. The Marriott will do this for you.
The TPC Stadium course truly lived up to it's billing. The course was immaculate, and the service was world class. Definitely take advantage of the option to use a forecaddie. They know the course and greens like the back of their hand.
I played this for my 21st and what a treat it was, you arrive to grand clubhouse the guys take your clubs and put them on the carts for you, so all you have to do is out your shoes on and pay in the shop. The clubhouse is vast in size and has everything you need with a great sun trap out back to enjoy post round drinks on, or some great food to snack on. The practice facilities are great with a long range and plenty of bays, the short game area is also well prepped then the putting green is incredible in size to warm up on. The course itself is brilliant, I didn't play too great and was punished in addition the wind was up which defends the course ever so well, the designs too make sure each hole plays in a different direction really does mean you have to think about the tee shot not only where you want to hit it but also where the wind is coming from. It's a must play because even if you shoot a 100 from the blue tees it's still a great course. The caddy Jim was great and make sure you get their knowledge on the greens as they don't get much wrong. Am experience that will last a life time!
Me and the boys have been for 5 years in a row!! it is so much fun to watch the pros! you can walk around and follow your favorite players, or follow the leaders. food and drinks everywhere and somewhat pricey. every year i would fist bump Lefty (Phil Mickelson). we go on the sat round, so its still busy, but not as busy as sunday (final round) would be. parking is well choreographed and plenty to go around. they even handout sunscreen if you forget!
The course was fun and crazy hard as expected. The staff really made the experience outstanding though. Every staff member went out of their way to make our group relaxed and at ease so we could enjoy our round and experience at TPC. From the bag drop attendant (introduced us to 2014 Fed Ex champ Billy Horshel), starter, caddie, bag tag engraver, to the chartered TPC Sawgrass member (Doug) we played with (took us through the champions locker room, president's cup room, etc. and was a joy to play with), everyone went out of their way to make us welcomed and have a great day. Highly recommend!
We were recently in this area and decided to "take a flyer" a visit this facility. We had hopes that due to our connection with the local college golf tournament ("Spring Kickoff") that we would be given special privileges to this historic course. Wrong! The green fees were $375.00. After deciding to skip that portion of our agenda, we paid $10.00 to use their range. That was a treat and we met a leading member of the Canadian PGA tour who announced that all players reaching tour status are allowed to use all of the TPC facilities gratis. After our bags were finished, we toured the 18th hole and the clubhouse. The momentos were plentiful and competitively priced. All of the staff were extremely courtesy and I would recommend a visit to anyone.
