Fantastic sound, great orchestra and choir, not to be missed experience if you like "classical" music. Fireworks at the end of Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture.
Never am I disappointed with an evening with WASO .A world class orchestra based at the Perth Concert Hall on St.Georges Terrace slightly to the East of the CBD.A quick check to determine when they will next perform will enhance any visit to Perth if their concert can be included.
I recently saw Ben Folds with WASO. I have been a long time Ben Folds fan and couldn't wait to see him play with WASO. It didn't disappoint, It was pure brilliance. The music played was of the highest quality. When Folds asked the orchestra to play a impromptu song they did so with exquisite professionalism. I recommend WASO to everyone.
If you have a chance to see our WASO, dont miss out. They are world class. Christmas time normally sees them putting on a great Carols evening. This is family friendly and an absolute delight.
Saw this lot at the free concert in Albany during the ANZAC celebrations. What a treat to hear the Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams and to have them accompany Kate Noonan and others and not have to pay the. Or ally extortionate fees to hear a great orchestra.
I've listen to this amazing professionals many times. And I will be very happy to do it again. It's one of the best orchestra I've ever seen. Bravo!
Enjoyable day for the children. Fantastic way to get them involved with the different instruments and sections of the orchestra.
We really enjoyed the outdoor concert in Perth on the 13th. The music was beautiful - great variety and showmanship. Only wished some Christmas music could have been included.
I went on the 30(09 for the Beethoven 9th symphony. Best classical performance I have seen so far. I recommend it!
WASO is outstanding in the talent of their members, diversity of programs, and character of conductors. Never miss a chance to hear them play; it's quite uplifting, and removes one from the humdrum troubles of the day, which i quite needed. Last year's subscription was money well spent; they make it easy to book, dine, park, and attend every performance. Looking forward to December's Handel's Messiah with full chorus.
