We were told about the park by one of the resedents. Told us the river runs thru the park. We drove thru at night but would love to see it in the daylight. It was very peaceful at night.
I've never seen a park this big or this nice in another town the size of Pratt, or even some larger cities. There's a sidewalk that winds through and measures exactly a mile, making it handy for mileage running, and well-kept nature trails. The playground equipment keeps kids occupied for a long time! There's also a soccer field and a couple of softball diamonds, as well as a pier for fishing and a shallow river for splashing around.
The park is a peaceful and tranquil setting. There are short hiking trails available with a local variety of flora and fauna. A small stream passes through the southern edge of the park and provides a shaded access to crustaceans.
This is a great park all year around. There is a nature trail for a short hike. There is a mile long sidewalk through the park for a great walk as well as a playground for the kids.
Lemon Park is a great place for family reunions (check), family pictures on the dock of the pond (check), and a great place with plenty of playground equipment for the kids to play on (check). The walking path is awesome, but I think the trail that goes through towards the back is refreshing. It's a must see at Christmas time as well.
Lovely park with extensive walking trails. Now the Christmas lights are on, and it is truly beautiful! The park also includes a small pond (also beautifully lit for Christmas), and play equipment for children. There are also tables and pavilions for picnicking in warm weather.
If you like Holiday Light Displays (and who doesn't?), Lemon Park in Pratt decorates the whole park with Christmas lights. This is a really nice after dark drive to see. Congrats to the community for a beautiful light show!
Lemon Park was one of the first places I visited when I moved to Pratt, KS. It has nature trails, wildlife, walking paths, and is enjoyed by people walking their dogs, running/walking for fitness, children playing in the playground, bicyclists, and those just strolling or driving thru the park in cars and on motorcycles. It is home to the Pratt Community College Beaver Softball park and also has volleyball nets and another baseball field. Trees, swings, gazebos...a great place to spend the day. Community also comes out to light up the park for Christmas, making it a winter wonderland, with dragons in the pond and Santa fishing with buddies.
This park is used heavily by locals for walking, jogging, biking on a paved walk way and road. It has some kiddie play equipment and a nice fishing pond. There are lots of big trees to give shade and the grounds are very well kept. Locals say the park is very safe. It is a nice size, but wish there were more.
My boyfriends company traveled to Pratt to do some work. We stayed 3 weeks. This park is beautiful! I will share some pics I took with my cell phone :)
