This is a neat waterfront park to visit. It's primarily a collection of flower gardens with paths to walk through. It sits right on the waterfront. The flowers gardens are impeccably maintained as is the lawn area surrounding them. If you're in Portsmouth during the summer months, it's well worth the time to stroll over to this place and wander around. In the evening live plays are presented in another area of the park. There is no admission charge although the shows request a donation.
Great photo opps and nice picnic spots. Like the contiguous walking areas around the harbor, too. So much history to discover here!
This is a great place to enjoy the Portsmouth Sea side with a little entertainment, bring your wine and food and enjoy!
The flowers were still in bloom and so tastefully decorated grounds. We spent at least an hour just walking around and enjoying.
Beautiful litte park on a beautiful day. Great location to view across the river .Plenty of benches to sit and relax. Watching the ships and tug boats.Fascinating.
Really enjoyed the nice park and Gundowla tour - nice on a warm day! Doing this during the changing of the leaves season was very pretty - lighthouses are beautiful.
We eloped to this park and it was incredible. It has a lot to offer with a great background. No one to bother you. It was just magical! I had called ahead to speak with the staff about holding a small ceremony there and they were very accommodating and super friendly!
We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful Portsmouth was. We enjoyed our walk around the park an watching the bridge go up for the lobster boats.
If you visit in August, the park is a wonderland of flowers. Plus there are many outdoor shows and a beautiful waterfront. It is right across the street from Strawberry Banque and from Mombo's, which is one of the best restaurants in Portsmouth.
A piece of nature in a sweet town. Wonderful to walk around right after a lovely lunch in one of the many restaurants
