If you visit Provo I would definitely not miss out on this place. We did 2 hours on a jet ski with a guide. He was kind and shoed us around the Island. The waters were breathtaking. The equipment was fine. I read some negative things about the equipment but they were probably a thing that can happen to any motor. MUST HAVE A GUIDE. Without a guide it would not be as fun and may perhaps be dangerous since the waters are shallow and if there are complications it would be difficult to get back without hardship. This was an experience that really allowed us to see the waters and beauty of Turks. We felt like we were the only people around. There were no crowds and it felt like we were on a private island the whole time. Perhaps August is a slow time. Enjoy!
We rented two SeaDoos for 2 hours one afternoon. They even dropped off and picked up at our villa for a $75 dollar fee that they chose to not disclose up front. They didn't show up the first time we reserved the units and were late the second time. The equipment was in good shape and everyone had a blast but they're not cheap...it ended up costing $600 by the time all the fees were added.
This is a great way to see the island and spend some time on the water. The staff is friendly and helpful!
My girlfriend and I went on a 3 hour jet ski tour and it was incredible!! Our tour guide (his name is Sunshine) has been on the island for several years and is very knowledgeable about the land and it's history. We saw Chalk Sound, Taylor Bay, a shipwreck, and other other awesome scenery!! Had lunch at Bugaloos on the tour and had a Conch fiesta (cracked conch, conch fritters, etc.). The great thing is that right by the restaurant there were some guys getting the conch fresh from the beach and taking it straight to the kitchen!! Freshness at it's best. On the way back, my girlfriend's jet ski broke down, but they had one of the staff members bring her another one and we continued on our tour. And because of the inconvenience we got a discount!! Overall we had a great time and have nothing but great things about our tour guide Sunshine.
Very nice and professional people. We got lost trying to find the office and they sent someone to get us. They escorted us to the office, we checked in and despite being late they accomodated us for the full hour. They took the time to show us how to use the jet ski and let us play around in a remote location to get use to it. Here again is an example of the wonderful hospitality shown to visitors on this island.
We did the two hour jet skiing tour. It was a lot of fun driving the jet skiis but one of ours broke down just after leaving the dock. Not a problem, someone came with a replacement jet ski within 5 mins and the fun continued. We toured around the Provo island and saw a conch farm and an abandoned resort spot. Just wish they had more facts during our tour, but otherwise awesome!
We went jet skiing last summer during our trip to Turks and Caicos. My sister and I shared a jet ski and would switch when one of us would get tired of driving as we went. We did the guided tour, which was such a blast. Being on the water is amazing!Usually, we jet ski back home on a freezing cold lake. But here, the water is so warm that I could have spent hours out on the jet ski! I recommend wearing goggles though, as you will get splashed a lot! Going up and down the waves may seem intimidating, but the waves were actually quite smooth that it never really felt jerky or painful. It was thrilling!
Snorkeling on TCI is expensive like everything else. At $185 plus extortion tax your up to $217 for one hour of jet skiing. Thats the bad news. The good news is it is worth every penny. Go with the tour guy and tell him you have a need for speed. The water around TCI is incredible, best I've ever experienced. Inside tip. If you take the tour guy ask him if one of your children can ride with him. I went out with my 7 year and 5 year old when with the tour guide. Water is so calm it is ultra safe. Enjoy and don't think about why there are only two places to rent jet skiis on the whole island.
We rented jet skis from these guys and they worked well even though riding on the ocean is a lot more rough than the lake experience I'm used to. It was fun to jump waves and the jet skis were well maintained. They also rent boats but we didn't partake.
We went on a PWC tour one day. They came back another day and rented a boat. Both times all went well and had a good time. I was worried after reading reviews that equipment was old but we didn't experience that. Our ski was almost new and functioned perfect. Some of the others had some hours on them but performed for our tour. There were 7 machines on our tour. Rented equipment gets worn from riders not taking care but these were all fine. The ride was great. Employees were fun to talk with. They even had to put up with some nagging negative tourists that were also on our ride and they did so with smiles on their faces. The boat rental was great since the knew where we wanted to go after having done the tour. Iguana Cay was a nice ride and great lunch stop. We had fun and would use these guys again.
