There is a one star review of Taylor Bay resulting from a user's inability find it; a good sign. Making the effort = spending the day on a quiet secluded beach shared only with those well-deserving beach goers who also made the effort. A "club," if you will. Very Danny Boyle.
We fell in love with our trip upon the first time seeing Taylor bay. We have NEVER seen anything like this. Grace Bay was a little rough during our stay in November 2014, so we headed to all different beaches, and this was our favorite. Secluded, private, luxory homes right on the beach. Crystal clear, shallow water for 100 yards. Watvhed 3 sunsets here as well.
This is the most beautiful beach on Providenciales. It is on the opposite side of the island to Grace Bay, but the white sand and shallow waters make it a wonderful place to spend the day with children and adults. Parking is a bit of a problem though.
Finding the entrance to this beach was an exercise in trial-and-error. So repeat after me, From Chalk Sound Drive, take a left onto Ocean Point Drive, drive until you see a super small parking lot. We're talking like room for 3-4 cars. There's a small path leading from this lot, and you're going to walk past some tennis courts. A turn or two later, just when you think you're definitely in the wrong place, this tiny, hideaway beach opens up. We arrived just in time for the sun to set, and it was one of the best highlights of our trip. The turquoise water is only two feet deep for what feels like 50-70 feet into the ocean. We took some fantastic photos, and headed off for dinner at Las Brisas.
The crystal clear waters of Taylor Bay remain shallow with gentle waves, so perfect for families and for those who enjoy strolling in the water!
Peaceful secluded beach, ideal for little ones as the water is very shallow, and slopes out very gently. Excellent for a beach walk.
Took us a little while to find it but was definitely worth it! Beautiful shallow bay where it feels like you could walk half a mile before the water hits your knees. Really calm, no waves and ringed by expensive villas. We saw our "lotto" house in the beach here. There are no facilities or shade so be prepared! This is how you find the path to get to the beach. Make a left on Ocean Point Drive from Chalk. You'll come across a large stone sign for Ocean Point. There will be a small area for parking and a path down to the beach. It's about a 3 minute walk and pictures are attached.
Perhaps my beach expecations are too high but I have seen many better beaches in my life.It was difficult to find. We used two different access points during our lengthy visit in the TCI this winter and both were tricky to find initially. (Parking under a no parking sign in a housing estate with a path running beside a tennis court then through some shrubs?? or Parking in a no parking zone in front of a large house and squeezing past a garbage dumpster and then walking through scrub to the beach????)The water was calm and shallow with a sandy bottom, good for my kids to swim in alone. The beach is ringed by scrub at the back and I found there not to be much sand space. There are many large houses on the edges and several times my day at the beach was interupted by drunk tourists splashing around in the water. That being said, the sunset here is unrivaled on the island. We often brought a blanket, a bottle of rum puch and some snacks and enjoyed the show nature provided.Although it is only an average beach in my opionion it is worth a visit, especially if you have young kids.
One of the most beautiful beaches I have visited. Warm, clear water that seems to stretch out forever ... Warm, white sand that is some of the softest we have experienced. Very quiet, clean and picturesque. We had a lovely afternoon here and would definitely return.
A great place to spend a relaxing day at the beach. Bring plenty of sunscreen as there is no shade. Easily accessible from Ocean Point Drive. Look for a small parking area on the right near the end of the road and follow the path.
