very interesting exhibition and items, in the very centre of the city, not expensive, nice location and a very beautiful building, unfortunately very bad preserved, maybe after the present restauration it will be better. Regrettable dusty atmosphere, presentation must be updated, because items are rare and interesting. Bad bathroom facilities, no wheelchairs acces. Go see it anyway, you won't be sorry at all!
This is the best museum from Ploiesti in terms of uniqueness and information. The only one that actually made me dream and imagine myself in another epoque. It has some impressive collections of old clocks: painting clocks where all the characters from the painting are moving in the rithm of the seconds, bear clocks, music clocks.
Good preservation of the watches. A capture of the History for the people that owned that pices . The guide line was very captivant.
For those who appreciate the value of time, this is the place to be. Enjoy your visit of The clock museum, because if will be a memory that will last.
This is an incredible museum! Old clocks, nice atmosphere... If you visit Ploiesti, you must go and visit this museum! You must!
If you are interested in clocks you sure are in the right place to know more about the subject. Very nice impressive collection, including: the first pocket watch ("Nuremberg egg "); sun-dial, built of wood in 1634 pendulum, the waterfall clock (London, 1654), the clock tower, a piece of 1693 (making watchmaker Ralf Gout), the effigy of Louis XIV on one wirst clock. You can hear Marseillaise, Strauss waltz sang by watches. Historical personalities watches are well preserved: Brâncoveanu, Al. I. Cuza, Caesar Bolliac, B P Hasdeu, Theodor Aman, IL Caragiale, Duiliu Zamfirescu.
i was impressd by the collections, and some unique exibitions that are hosted by the museum. I would reccomend to visit this museum to every collector or watch hobby lover
This is a unique museum in our country! Here you can see all kinds of clocks, old style clocks, elegant clocks for personal use or with decorative role.
The clock museum is an eclectic collection of clocks. Not really comprehensive, but an interesting display that should entertain clock lovers. There is only limited display information, so you may find it difficult to truly appreciate the items shown. If you happen to be in Ploiesti, t is worth a visit.
It's a special and unique collection. The housing building is under renovation and the collection of the museum is temporary exposed in the History Museum.
