We went with our 3 and 6 year old kids, and waited to go in the evening for the discounted rate from 3pm to closing time. Everything was great, really fun... some parts were pretty rundown but overall no safety concerns and reasonable clean. Will go back again for sure! Nice picnic area too with lots of shade.
It's tired and in disrepair. My daughter cut her foot on a sprinkler head and the staff were not at all concerned. Made it seem like it happens often. All the children I took came out with an all over body rash, likely from the chlorine levels. I recommend paying the little bit extra and going to Cultus Lake Waterslides. It's triple the size with way more to do for all ages, updated and safe.
My wife went down the ride where you float on tubes and ride the rapids and was injured. We are both very fit people and love sports but this think is dangerous. Too many people at a time, crashing into each other. I saw little children plowed over by 300 lb. adults on this thing. My wife had to go to Emergency and was placed in Trauma section. Even had to have Catscan done to determine full extent on injury to her spine ( C6 and C7 ) ; NOT GOOD ! So please use with caution and be careful you may not get a second chance.
This is a smaller water park with no stairs and is great for younger children. They allow you to bring food in, even a portable bbq.Would of got another star but the washrooms need renovating badly.
We had a great day out here with kids 5, 5 and 8. Park have lots of space to sit and picnic. Not too busy even on a Sunday. Could do with a kick of paint but nothing that took away from a great day!
Line ups are long. I only got on 4 trips down the main four slides all day due to the long waits, even when the lines are not long. 10 to 30 minute wait for the main slides each time. The river ride was a blast though and we spent most our time there since we didn't spend so much time waiting. Everything else was decent and we had fun.
Took 5 kids there, ages 4 to 12; they all loved it, and it is easy to keep track of everyone. I love that I can bring my own picnic, and just add a treat from the concession. However, it was not as clean as I expect from such a facility, and didn't feel really sanitary - mold around the edges of some areas, bathrooms often a mess (and not cleaned up nearly often enough). One small kid pooped in the wading pool, staff got everyone out, scooped out the mess, added a bit of chlorine and let everyone back in - all in about 20 minutes. YUK! they need to enforce rules about little swimmer diapers. I will check it out for cleanliness before I go again.
This area has a amusement picnic park, easy paths, nice soft grass, gift store, gas in area. The water falls is a 45min walk, beautiful, safe, and might even see a rain bow. Great for picnic, but children over 6yrs, slight incline so shoe tread important. Might spend 2.5hrs. SoftSand-13.
This is more of a young family park. Not lots of slides, but enough for kids to have fun. Teens don't like it. I haven't been there for many years. There are also other kid attractions adjoing this park,. And a private camp ground close.
Spent the day here on Wednesday. Staff were friendly. Wait times were average and the slides OK. I had three kids older than 10 who found it so-so. The youngest, 6, had a blast. So here's the not so good. The last time I went here was about 12+ years ago and nothing has changed. The park has a tired feeling to it, and needs upgrades. Sure there's no stairs, but there's old ripped carpet leading up to the slides. It's a skinned knee waiting to happen. The bathrooms are dingy, but whatever, your only in their briefly. Also, bring your own food. The food here is pretty gross, even for overpriced park standards. The good. It really is great for families with little ones, as the park is small and the slides seem to be geared towards the younger set. The staff is friendly and nice. Parking is free, and yes, it's gravel, but who cares. Your not spending your time in the parking lot. Pack a lunch, or bring a BBQ, and don't forget the little kiddies.
