A foursome who enjoyed the scenery and the challenge of abeautifully laid out golf course. Not hard to find and thescenery makes up for any poor score you might have!
Enjoy golf in Lake Geneva area. One of many courses the golfer can experience. Food is good too. Must drive from Lake Geneva town about 15 minutes
This place has the best manicured par 3 course I have ever played. The regular course is challenging too!
We recently returned to Hawks View for the all-you-can-eat Friday fish fry! Our favorite fish fry in the area used to be Scuttlebutts in Lake Geneva, but they recently closed, so we now consider this the best Friday fish fry in the Lake Geneva area! We were at Hawks View for the Friday fish fry last spring and it was so busy that we waited 1 hour just for a table. This time we called to try and make a reservation to avoid a lengthy wait like that. However, we were told that they only schedule reservations for parties of 8 or more. Since we were a party of 3, they would not make a reservation for us. We arrived at Hawks View at about 5:30 in the evening then to take our chances. We were pleasantly surprised to see the parking lot not very full at all. As it turns out, we would not have needed a reservation because we were seated immediately. There were several open tables when we arrived. Our waitress Mariah was very friendly, personable, and efficient. We each started our meal with a cocktail. The drinks were out cold and fast! Our orders were taken soon after, and the food all arrived very quickly. Before the fish, we were served applesauce, coleslaw, and rye bread. Our fish fries were out very quickly, especially since the restaurant did not seem real busy tonight. Everything was excellent!! The baked fish was very good. I also loved the corn fritters! They are almost like dessert in the middle of your entree, they are so sweet. They are served with maple syrup and are melt-in-your-mouth delicious! You can also add jumbo shrimp to your dinner for 95 cents each. We each ordered 2. Those are very good also. When the waitress brought out the jumbo shrimp, we were surprised to see French fries included on the platter. I don't think those should have been included, but boy, were they good fries!! Our waitress was good about checking in frequently. Since it is all-you-can-eat, we each ordered a second helping of baked fish. We always love the value of all-you-can-eat fish fries. She seemed more than willing to keep bringing us additional servings, but we stopped after 2! We were too full for dessert. The service was very fast and friendly! From the time we arrived until we left was only about 45 minutes, which was nice and fast. We would definitely recommend Hawks View for Friday fish fry! It is the best Friday fish fry in the area in our opinion!
we really enjoy playing this course every year when we make it out to Lake Geneva. they keep it in great condition. beautiful holes and far removed from any distractions.
And a good choice of food for a golf course . Beautiful outdoor seating in the spring and summer and warm cozy spots in the winter.
Very challenging course that is well maintained. We paid $50 per person which was a great price for this type of course. Greens have multiple levels which make it different each time you play. The course is in a valley but has rolling terrain. Tees, Fairways, and Greens were all in excellent condition. Our only downfall was that it rained during our play. We had a four-some play in just over 4 hours on a Wednesday late morning.
First ti9me trying their fish fry - DECENT, but actually the highlight was the Potato pancakes - good size but CRISPY which seems rare in Wisconsin. On to the highlight, Corn Fritters (YES) come with WARM Maple syrup. It like desert in the middle of your meal. WOW!
I am definitely a beginner golfer, so the par 3 course was perfect for my skill level. The course was very well maintained and the course was pretty. My husband used his round to work on his short game and iron play. This course is perfect for players of varying levels. We'll definitely play here again!
Hawk's View Como Crossings course is a great track. Play the tips only if your handicap is single digit. The staff do a great job of keeping the course in shape, and keeping things rolling through the day - no 5 hour rounds here!
