This 1891 Victorian house hosts special events a few times a year. Chistmas Chinese new year and June for an old fashioned Ice-Cream social. The Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution put on demonstrations, including period dress, artillery (they shoot off cannons). They also have storytelling, historical songs and music & Free Ice Cream! You can tour the house and see what life was like then.
Taking the family to this house was so much fun. the people in charge were very informative and made us feel welcomed.
Riverside had the highest per capita income in the United States - in the 1890's. Heritage House is a piece of that glory. It's easy to hear the ghosts whispering as you wander through a century-old orange grower's home.
