On a recent local wine tour with friends, Melrose Vineyards was a complete disappointment...The wine is good but with such rude customer service, it's hard to enjoy. A female server went out of her way to make us feel uncomfortable and unwanted.... We will all now be spending our time and money at the new up and coming Glaser Family Vineyard...
Good wine tasting and lovely grounds to stroll. A wide variety of activities and music throughout the summer.
We were vowed by two of the wines, person in charge of tasting very knowledgable and helpful, great outdoor space for a picnic, not crowded on Monday when we visited.
Most beautiful setting and the friendliest dogs around. Grapes are locally grown, and the wines are all delightful. This is one of our go to wineries in the area and we look forward to visiting and tasting again soon. Of course, did manage to select a couple of the most delightful wines to bring home to share with family and friends.
Gorgeous location near Roseburg. They host a lot of weddings and special events and you have to see the grounds, let along hit the friendly tasting room. They make some really tasty reds and whites both and the gift shop is among the best I've seen in Oregon. I'm a big Red wine fan, but quite fond of their Pinot Gris. Nice music events in the summer too!
What a; jewel in the back country. Very nice winery. Beautiful location and great wine. Will be back
Wonderful setting for weddings and special occasions. Great little store attached to the tasting room. Enjoyed the experience.
On a short trip to the Roseburg area we only had time to visit one winery. We were very happy with our visit to Melrose Vineyards. The gentleman who served us was friendly and took his time explaining about each wine we sampled. He invited us to attend a Saturday evening outdoor concert the winery holds in the summer and fall. The wines were all so good it was hard to make a choice, but since we were flying home we limited it to one bottle. If I'm in the area I'll definitely visit Melrose again.

Wayne is usually cookin' up some kind of treat at Melrose Winery, where he grows lots of grapes for a full spectrum of wines. He's a butcher, chef and caterer, and when I visited for a private dinner, he concocted a smoked cornish game hen with an awesome cranberry balsamic dressing along with grilled asparagus, which actually worked pretty nicely with his suggested pairing of Pinotage. He's one of the few to produce it in Oregon and it's made as big and powerful as he. The Sauv Blanc is lemongrassy and sassy. A great site for weddings and events, as long as Wayne's in the kitchen!
