The stadium is nice, with seats both under the shelter and out in the open. They had a good, organised queuing system when we went there in April for a concert. Helpful staff and decent food (both outside before you queue and inside before you sit). The food and drink were quite expensive but it's to be expected. The seats are baseball stadium seats so not comfortable at all and very tightly packed...but you don't go there for comfort!
We were here for the France v Wales rugby. We had an excellent view of the game but further away from the pitch despite only being back 5 rows from the front of the dead ball line. Our friends were on the second tier and were very cold.Drinks can be bought in special, reusable and stackable plastic glasses at a premium of 2 Euros each. The beer is not good but the coffee is excellent. As usual in most stadiums the drinks are pricey. The toilet facilities on the ground floor are at a premium and long queues ensue leading to 'alternative' options for relieving oneself. Access is easy from the two RER stations, one stop from Gare du Nord.
Went here for the Beyonce and Jay Z concert. Its so easy to get to via the RER and the train ran late after the concert. Once you get off the train there is a great atmosphere with music, food vendors etc. My advice is to buy your return ticket before you get the train back as the queue for the ticket machine's are very long. The beer is expensive but that's standard for a venue like this.We were standing however I would choose seats next time as the venue isn't too big.
This was my first visit to Stade de France and from the outside it is very impressive looking from the outside!I went for a concert and outside the stadium are the usual burger vans etc. with the merchandise vans out there too. We thought there would be more of the same inside, alas we were wrong!I found outside to be extremely dirty, whether there were no bins, I don't know. Litter was actually everywhere, I had to wade through it just to enable me to get to the entrance so I could hand my ticket over.We were sat on the South side at the very, very top. I will warn you, if you have vertigo this is a no go. It is HIGH and even I had problems getting down to my seat as I felt as though I might go flying! It is quite a walk to the top and lots and lots of stairs so please be prepared!! The seats are very small and do not fold up so if it has been raining, be prepared for a soggy bottom!Inside are Coca Cola bars which sell your standard soft drinks and fast food. They served a range of subs, hot dogs and chips with other snack items too and then your standard soft drinks. The did have beer but it actually sold out while we were standing in the queue and then all they had left to offer us was champagne at 10 euros per glass!! I had a hot dog, a small bag of fries and a lemonade which came to 15 euros...about the standard price for an event like that. There were no merchandise stalls inside, which I found very disappointing and when the concert finished and we tried to go outside to get t-shirts the queues were so long and disorganised, we gave up.When the concert finished and the mad dash ensued, we tried to locate a taxi rank to get us back to our hotel. There isn't one basically. Lots of signs for various train stations but no one around to ask where to go or what to do. We had to walk 40 minutes back to our hotel and the surrounding neighbourhood is not the type of place you want to walk in, in the dark, at 1am, being just two girls. I felt very unsafe and could not even locate a police officer or a taxi driving past.
Went to watch the FRANCE vs SPAIN International football friendly on Sept 4th. Sellout crowd - nearly 80,000 people. Could not believe how many rude inconsiderate people there are smoking in such a closed area. Young kids behind these idiots holding jackets to their faces to not inhale the smoke. Such a shame as it would have been a fantastic night out. Glad to be from a country which has a ban on such rude behaviour. The ground was easy to get to, NO bottles allowed - so we had to buy a drink when we got in. Easy signage in the ground and lots of helpful staff.
This was our first time at Stade De France. - Rugby 6 Nations v Wales. Very easy to get to and away from, on the RER B & D lines. We got there early and tried to get a drink in one of the not too many bars. Was told it was for food only and drinks were outside - Good job it wasn't raining. Pop up bars and food places appeared instantly - so plenty of outlets. There isn't a lot around here so don't expect nightlife. The ground itself is very nice we were in the first tier, good view of the game. Shame about the entertainment - The Millenium beats it hands down.We travelled on the RER B line from Plaine De Stade De France. It is a short walk from the Stadium and only one stop (5mins) from Gard De Nord. Trains were every 2 mins when we left so it took us less than 40 mins after the final whistle to get back to town.
nice ground but access and egress via a small entry to the subway en route from the station is a nonsense as is the distance from the station, no real beer inside just low alcohol and hugely over priced. Must do better although WALES did win!
Went for a guided tour of the stadium and it was awesome! Our guide was Sebastian and he was really great. Translated to be english and French without skipping a beat. Highlights included the players dressing rooms and getting to run our through the tunnel onto the pitch. Would highly recommend!! Museum at the end is also really great. Trip highlight.
1st time in the Stade de France. Loved it, free tricolour and good rugby. Lots of beer and food stands.
Brilliant atmosphere for the rugby, Very well sign posted, taken to our seats by a steward and everyone so friendly , but that's rugby for you !!
