We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this winery. This is a 3 generation family winery. They took great care of us, showing us the grapes, the technique, and finishing with a fun wine tasting. We learned so much! Their wines were also some of our favorites on our whole tour. :) The tour was free... you just pay for the wine tasting. Well worth the price!
Mid- September. Not a big tourist time. Arrived at our first winery on our NY wine tour. Long Cliff set the bar high. We parked on the gravel parking area the went in search for someone to show us around the vineyard and winery. We were beginning to think that we had arrived too early, but we spotted someone gathering grapes. That turned out to be a worker gathering pinot grapes and she directed us to the man in charge, Kevin. Kevin graciously took us on a private tour of the winery. We even sampled grapes off the vine. Pinot. Lemberger. Concorde. Thank you, Kevin. He then introduced us to his daughter, Danielle. Danielle set us up a tasting and a sneak peek of some tasty lemon flavored chocolate. Yum.Loved the personal 1:1 treatment. Kevin's love for the winery was clear. He explained that pinot is the heartbreak grape. If not picked today, tomorrow might be too late. He was facing a long day/night, yet took the time to give some Georgia folks a perfect start to a wine tasting road trip! Small. Family owned. Personal.
Hello again- we have received your review and want to reach out to insure you know it hasn't gone unread. I remember your visit, we had spoken about your day trip to Niagara on the Lake the day before and we discussed the similarities between their climate and ours. I recall your group really enjoying our Pinot Magic (the white pinot noir) and I sincerely apologize on behalf of myself and our owner (my grandfather) that you believe your experience did not reflect the passion we pour into our business. I do hope you enjoyed the rest of your visit on the Niagara Wine Trail.
Long Cliff has some very good wines and prices are very reasonable. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I have been there several times and enjoyed it every time.
This winery has employees walking around and giving tours wearing NRA hats. They can do this if they choose, but if you don't agrees with the views, policies and politics of the NRA, you may wish to take your business elsewhere.
New and small vineyard. Great wine at a good price. Generous tasteing portions of some very good wines. The Niagara grapes make some very nice wine. Stop by, buy, and enjoy.

I'm glad that you enjoyed our "Pairing for Penguins" wine & cheese pairing this past January- we were able to raise money for The Aquarium of Niagara that weekend (a cause near and dear to my heart) with the help of great customers like you! If we host this event again this coming winter I hope you would stop out to join us again! In the meantime, please "like" us on Facebook if you haven't already! We enjoyed the wines at this smaller winery. They had a good variety to suit all our tastes. The staff was very friendly and knew a lot about the wines.
