We were there on 12/6. This was our second visit as we went last December too. We were enjoying the water park and after a few hours we were getting ready to head up stairs to change into our pj's for the Santa event when my three year old daughter starting violently puking. At first we assumed it was a stomach bug but after reading other similar situations online plus the fact that my wife and I did not get sick we know it was from dirty/contaminated water from the pool. My daughter did not eat any of the waterpark/resort food so that wasn't it either. She was up puking every hour all night. She wasn't "drinking" the pool water but somehow she ingested enough to get very very sick. The front desk felt bad and did apologize but this is unacceptable. I wasn't blaming the resort at first because we thought it was a stomach bug but I'm positive it wasn't. My wife and I really like this place but will not go back because this seems to continue to happen.
It was a last minute arrangement for us to bring the kids here during spring break. After all there's still snow and as a mom, I wouldn't want to risk my kids being sick esp. I know we would have to "drag" them out of the water park once we got in. Check in process was quick and staffs seems to be courteous. However there's not a whole lot of help from the staffs when it comes to unloading our luggages from the car esp. we are totally relying on my husband to do so while I try to stay with my three young kids near the check in area. We had the kids cabin room and the kids loved it. They enjoyed their private moment with their own TV in their own space. The bathroom was rather small and narrow. My daughter loved the strawberry scented body shampoo but honestly it's not enough for a family of five considering the number of time you have to shower them once they come back from the water park. Water park is in a huge room. There are life vest and towels provided. The life guards are doing a great job making sure kids are safe in the water. There's not much to do with my 3 yr old besides staying with him in the little kids pool while my husband kept an eye on our 5 and 7 year old. The older two kids had a blast trying out every single section they are allowed to be in. We had dinner at the restaurant that offers pizza. I ordered a Caesar salad with grill shrimp and was disappointed to find most of the greens not fresh and wilted and the shrimp was more like cocktail shrimp texture. I had to confirm with the waitress if that's what I've ordered and she insists that the shrimp was grilled. Oh well... I'm speechless. Overall it's a great indoor water park for family. I can't suggest the restaurant as it's not serving the food that's worth the price tag. If we were to return, I would definitely eat out or bring in outside food.
Just went November 29th only stayed one nite but was very pleased with all the a stuff to keep my kids busy, they did a magi quest where they had to go from floor to floor looking for the stuff that was in the quest they choose, they had the cub club, that had coloring, painting, a few toys, and a few art projects you could do, the water park was great fun water temp just right, the only problem we has was that at four somthing in the morning fire alarm went off and we all had to stay in the lobby till almost six am we were told there was a small fire in the water park the hotel did give us back seventy five dollars of our money and said we could check out a hour later at 12.00 but but that did not apply to us because we already pd for late check out at 2.00 pm so I asked if there was somthing else they could do in exchange for the late check out and was told no they are a little pricey over all it is a great place and we will return in the future
The room was a little dirty upon arrival. The waterpark was great for our 3 year old. The arcade could be updated a little bit. The fajitas in the Gitchigoomie grill were some of the best I have ever had. I wish that the Scoops salon had been open for my daughter to enjoy. I can't believe that they charge $2.50 for a bottle of Dasani in your room, when I bought a case at Meyers for $4.00. Customer service in the hotel and restaurant was great! Over all a good place to bring young ones.
We've done other water parks and this one ranks up there with the best. My son just kept going and I just tried to keep up with him and then finally let him go down the slides on his own. They have tables where adults can just chill and lockers for $5 for the day where you know your stuff is secure.
Very friendly staff and lots of fun for children. Easy access from lodge, outside pool for adults as well. Great water slides and suitable snack bar. Considering the amount of use, it was pretty clean too.
This was our third visits and second time winter/christmas vist which is our new family tradition. Santa and Ms. Claus, warm weather, water slides, story hour. What more can you ask for. Signed up for emails and got a great price on the room. Tried out the on-site pizza this visit which was a decent price, size and so nice to not leave the resort. Keep up the family fun, I had a 2 and 4 year old. This was the first time the two year old (almost three) rode all the slides except the one they are too short for.
If you can get up early & get out dont waste the money on the late checkout. Its $33. We got locked out & had to get the cleaning staff to let us into our room @ 1:30The food prices are to high.Come on you are there with kids.Your menu sucks.Good thing there is every food place known to man just down the street. Now beyond all this it's a hellava deal. You check in at 1pm & can use the park as soon as you get changed. You check out the next day at 11am & can use the park till 9 pm. Like 2 days for the price of one. Rooms are nice Beds were good.
Our daughter, son in law and 3 grandchildren live in Bellbrook and we were visiting for 3 weeks for Christmas and New Year and wanted to book us a few nights away. We found this website and it looked amazing especially for the grandchildren 5,2 and 10 months. We booked a room with a cabin for the children in our room for 4 nights. when we arrived we were very impressed with the lobby it has its own Gingerbread House which you can book to have a meal inside. We quickly checked in and found our room on the 3rd floor. Very clean and spacious for 4 adults and 3 children. We dropped our luggage off and went too have a look around. There are plenty of shops to buy anything you may have forgotten but very expensive, swimmers for the little ones were $3 each !!! there is a Starbucks Coffee Shop. We spent a few hours on the first day on the water park which is amazing, plenty of water slides for different ages, the wave pool if fun. In the evening we decided to eat in the restaurant which was a complete disaster, we had to wait over an hour for our food, other tables which came in after us got served their food before us. When w asked for our food it arrived 15 mins later to be cold and I mean Cold !!! Not happy at all as the kids where getting tired and fractious. My son in law left to put them to bed. A manger came over and apologised and had all our food re cooked but again not very hot when we asked why it was just warm they said they leave it to coo down !!!! It was expensive and really disappointed. We never ate in their again. However we did eat in the Pizza take away and it was amazing really good Pizzas freshly baked and good value for money. The water Park kept the kids amused every day. There is a show in the lobby twice a day but to be honest once you have seen it, its a little boring after that. The inside snow is pretty cool and the kids loved that and they got to meet Santa and Mrs Klaus which they got pretty excited about. It truly was an amazing few days and we will definitely return. Breakfast was buffet style very good choice but again expensive especially having to pay for coffee and soft drinks on top.
outstanding, quieter area for mom and pop, areas for little tikes and fun for the not-so-little. Many interesting features. exciting for all.
