I was excited to go here just because of the theme and we don't have anything like it in our area. It is Christmas 24/7 365 days a year. Lots of themed ornaments and nicely displayed. It is good to get inspired and get ideas on how to do your own decorating. The smells from the snack shop was great with homemade cookies and other goodies. There are postcards to purchase and the post office is 2 doors down where you can send them and get them postmarked with Santa Claus Indianapolis. There were things for everyones budget. There is Christmas music playing too. A nice big Santa is out front for great photo ops. Actually there are photo ops all over the town.
This place is great and the Santa Claus was amazing. The kids loved the store and couldn't figure out how Santa knew their names. So much to see as far as decorations and the prices were reasonable.
My town has a Christmas in the Park, and people with displays in that thing really, really need to go to this store. From Hawaiian and Hard Rock Santas to giant nutcrackers to almost-life-sized carolers, this place had it all.If you need to add to your table-top or mantle-top village, pretty good chance this store had it.Bit disappointed in their tree selection, though, Figured they would have way more options.
This place was fun. Lots and lots of ornaments. They personalized one for us at no charge. The music boxes are phenomenal. Of course, some of them cost thousands of dollars! The sales people were friendly, and helpful.
I love Christmas and my husband and I found Santa Claus, IN in our summer travels. A beautiful small town about 10 miles off I-64 in the heart of Indiana. There are Santas everywhere. We took the time to visit Santa Claus Christmas Store while there. It is full of all sorts of decorations and a wide variety of prices. This store was very well laid out and the selections should suit most everyone. If you have the time stop in for a visit.
I used to not like Christmas. At some point I got over it and now really enjoy it - especially the decorating. I don't do outdoor stuff but I do enjoy my tree every year and many of the ornaments have special meaning, often because of somewhere I've been. This store, while not huge, is a good size and is full of all kinds of different ornaments, from cheesy to extravagant. You don't have to buy anything to enjoy the store - there's plenty to ooh & ahh over and quite a bit to make you chuckle, if not laugh out loud. I found a couple it items to give as gifts as well as a couple more ornaments for my tree. I'm thinking this place is really jumping later in the year. If you find yourself in this corner of Indiana I recommend a stop here.
On a Saturday last mid-October, I went to Santa Claus, Ind. with my then 7-year-old daughter, my sister, my then 3-year-old niece, and my mother. Our main destination was Holiday World, but we stopped by the Christmas Store before the HW park opened. I was so glad we did! (Especially since the HW visit wasn't impressive). Mrs. Claus was sitting outside the store, reading a book about a green Christmas pumpkin to the kids. At the appropriate time, just about the best Santa Claus I've ever seen said his lines. It was very cute. The store had free painted-green pumpkins for the kids to decorate. My daughter loved painting her pumpkin. While it dried outside, we looked inside the store. They have many Christmas decorations. We sampled and bought some of their delicious fudge. I love buying books as souvenirs, so we bought the green Christmas pumpkin book. Santa autographed it for my daughter. A wonderful keepsake.
I love Christmas, and enjoyed a trip to Frakenmuth two weekends ago. While I liked the atmosphere of this store better than Bronners, I expected it to be a little larger. I liked the different ornament selections, but I would love to see a Christmas store with more decorations in it such as garland, etc. I thought that the town of Santa Claus would be a little more geared to children than it was. Wish I could have seen this town in it's past life. Since this was my first time in Santa Claus, Indiana, I thought that this town had an actual "downtown" with decorated store fronts etc. Was disappointed that I never saw anyone even dressed up as Santa. I wish I could be on the planning committee/Chamber etc.of this town, as I have some great ideas.
What a surprise when we entered this town and store. The most beautiful decorations. As we have been traveling quite a bit through Canada and the USA and still had stops before heading home we couldn't purchase anything. Excess luggage is a great problem. Santa Clause Christmas Store you rock.
Had alot of fun looking at everything they have. Kids got to santa and had a blast. How many times cant you see Santa in August.
