I booked a group of 10 online and had trouble saving my reservation, so I called the number listed around 8:30pm one night. Expecting the answering machine, I got a live person! He was pleased to take my name and party information and make sure we were booked for my requested time. What a sweetie...We got there and were quickly signed up and assigned an animal. The horses were extremely gentle and well trained. The staff were truly enthusiastic and great with the kids (and adults). The price is reasonable - and all 10 of us walked away absolutely in love with the experience!
Santas Stables is a must go in Santa Claus. All the horses are wonderful and the people that work there are exceptionally nice. The trail was fantastic, it was very shady so even on a warm evening it provided a very comfortable trip for both us and the horses.
My daughters, grandson(6), and I had a ball. My grandson was to young to ride alone so one of the trainers had to ride with him and he really enjoyed it she talked to him all while they rode. He even gave her a tip after. Great
I booked a Father's Day ride to surprise my husband. Growing up with horses the idea of a nose to tail ride was a little concerning. However, this ride was truly wonderful! The scenery and varied terrain - hills, forestry, plains, mud, creeks - truly made it interesting! The guides were great in accomodating our family, and I was impressed at how quickly they assesed our riding skills and paired us to horses that would be best for each of us! We made the reservations a few days in advance, and they had no problem accomodating our family of seven. We had several first time riders in our group, a couple of which were a bit apprehensive - by the first few moments in the saddle they were laughing and having a great time! Truly felt like we were riding with family friends, very personable, friendly, and full of stories!
We visited Santa's Stables the summer of 2012. They were great with our 3 year old. She had a fantastic time!
ride didn't seem like much for the price, but it was peaceful.
Friendly staff and well trained horses. Our two-year-old did well riding with a trail guide on the short trail, and our 11 and 8 year-old rode solo and had a great time. I thought it priced pretty well for a family of five.
My kids loved this almost as much as Holiday World. It is very inexpensive and the staff is very sweet and nice. We let each of our middle children (ages 6 and 3) do a pony ride which was not like the fair standard. They got to ride for a long time around a very large track, which they were crazy about. Next time, we are going to try and do one of their guided tours because I'm sure it will be a good experience.
Worth every penny...staff was very helpful and friendly...would definitely recommend to anyone with kids!
We visited Santa's Stables for a fun family outing and left with two tired and happy kids. When we arrived we were greeted by two fire pits to warm our cold bones by and three very friendly stable dogs that like to get lots of loves from the kids. My toddler loved her pony ride and was ready to graduate on up to the full trail ride. The toddler rode with a guide (a requirement) and the two bonded over discussions about horses. I got to ride on the horse right in front of her so I could take photos of my daughter behind me. The horses are well trained and required little feedback from the riders while out on the trail. The guides are relaxed, easy-going and seem comfortable working with the horses. We really enjoyed our 45 minute ride through the forest. It was great and we would definitely visit again!
