Quaint, charming and friendly town. The Walking Dead Store, the Walking Dead walking tour, Senoia Coffee & Cafe, Maguire's Pub, and Camp Southern Ground Social Club were highlights.
The downtown area Senoia is very pretty. The store fronts all have displays and welcome you into the shop. The area is small, but there are shops and restaurants all over.
It is hard to believe that we live 45 minutes from this great little town and never visited until several weeks ago. Okay the Walking Dead is filmed there so that makes it a big deal. (Honestly have never watched) That said, this little place is small town America/Norman Rockwell. Great restaurants and gift shops. Really a nice place to go for a fun afternoon
I only live 3 miles from this small town and enjoy visiting often. A movie making town and a record of many movies, so noted it the sidewalk. Walking Dead is the most recent. Good restaurants, and arts and crafts stores, plus much more. I am sure you would enjoy your visit, They have a wonderful 4th of July celebrations, Car Shows, etc. Just go on web site. Senoia Georgia for additional information. Enjoy.
Did a Walking Dead fan stop here. The town is so cute. Nice little shops, and the people are friendly. Didn't get to spend enough time here, so we will be back. A great place to spend an enjoyable afternoon wandering. The old homes in the area are gorgeous.
What a cool little town!! Quiet and yet so much going on!! Not overly commercialized and very comfortable!! We had a blast there!
As a long time resident of Senoia I thought it best to share what's so wonderful about our little town. We are located south of Atlanta, East of Newnan and near Peachtree City, Georgia. In the last few years, visitors have been coming to our little town for the Southern Living Home and to see the filming sites of various movies and the hit television show The Walking Dead. While both of those reasons are wonderful reasons to visit, there is so much more to Senoia. We are a quiet little town where antiquing on downtown Main Street offers special finds. Photography buffs love the locale for the fantastic backdrops from the architecture and nearby Merimac Lake. Merimac Lake which a 10 minute walk (2 minute drive) from downtown offers a beautiful lake setting to feed the ducks, take photos, watch locals fish, and have a picnic. Senoia City Park which is on the other side of downtown Senoia offers a fantastic playground for kids. We have great food in downtown Senoia including fudge, ice cream, pizza, restaurants, a pub and Senoia Coffee which can't be beat! There are bed & breakfasts in some historical homes near Main Street. From Senoia you can take a movie tour or go it alone. Just about any local you meet can point you to key filming sites (just ask) including those not in downtown Senoia. Senoia hosts many runners and bike riders. We celebrate and decorate the holidays in downtown Senoia. Firework displays are held on appropriate holidays over Merimac Lake (Memorial Day). We have small town parades and celebrations that rival the ones you see on T.V. where everyone seems to know everyone and always welcome new faces. We welcome you with southern hospitality and hope you a great time.
This small town was so cute. The stores made for some amazing shopping. Ice cream, BBQ, pizza & more to satisfy any craving. The Walking Dead store had a guest Zombie, it was a great day!!
Welcome to Mayberry! This little town has it all. If you are a Walking Dead fan, this is a must see. Everyone in the town is so friendly and it is so beautiful.
Downtown Senoia is basically downtown Woodbury from the Walking Dead. There are places to eat and a Walking Dead themed store and the closed set for Walking Dead is near by. It's a quaint little town filled with little shops. I have no idea if this is organic and it's always been this way, or if it's just a small community of people who wanted to move out of the typical suburbs and planned a faux-Mayberry to live in.
