I visit Capitol Park regularly.Besides being home to over 200 varieties of trees it is home to the California State Capitol Building which is an amazing adventure in itsself dozens of amazing ever changing flowers ranging from cactus to roses.many memorials housing statures, giant historical.bells, meadows, and benches.political events, live music, fund raising runs, international celebrations, weddings, and much more.
A quiet cool place at the end of a long & tiring day. A beautiful setting for the Capitol building.........................
It is always fun to walk around the Capitol building and grounds. As other reviewers noted, there are many species of trees most with labels to identify them. There are me rials throughout the park as well. I have gone to the rose garden when it is in full bloom and taken photos there. The Park has a succulent area at the corner opposite from the Rose garden. There can almost always be some kind of event happening at different sides of the Capitol building. The building exterior is photogenic as well. Come in December and see the Tree lighting ceremony which usually has many ornaments made by individuals who are intellectually challenged.
州政府旁边的一大块绿地,种有很多硕大的古树,很是壮观,旁边的路上停车倒是很便宜1小时才1美元,可以在绿地上四处走走寻找拍摄州政府大楼的最佳角度
Although we were there on a chilly, foggy day, we took the walk down the mall and enjoyed the statues, plantings, and most especially the Vietnam Memorial. Definitely worth the time.
Wonderful history and incredible variety of trees. We ate oranges straight from the trees that line the sidewalks. Bring quarters for the meters, and don't miss out on the Civil War Union Veterans Memorial Grove.
Capitol Park offers something for everything. There is history - a tree from the moon, veterans memorials, squirrels, trees, benches, rose garden. Its a huge park, with lots to see. In the warmer months, probably best, but beautiful year round.
This is a must visit. Filled with great history, trees, flowers and scenic views. Take the time to visit the Capitol, it is rich in history and you will not be didappointed. This is a must visit - you will love it!
It seems as if every county could plant some plants in this lush garden, so you meet everything from redwood to orange trees
The park is full of well established trees, many unusual specimens and most are labeled. The perimeter is one mile so it is the standard state worker workout. Nearly everyday there is a demonstration or exhibition going on. The police patrol on horseback and are happy to stop to chat about their steads. Overall a great place for people watching, relaxing or exercising.
