If you want to see a lot of local talent perform, don't miss this one. Lots of performers, lots of variety...and it is FREE!! They do pass around a basket for donations.
Jimmy Driftwood is a major part of Mtn Veiw. He is one of the best parts of the town. A must see if you are in the area.
My family and I stopped at The Barn to enjoy the singing and playing Friday nite 8/8/14. Like grandkids do (ages18 months to 5 years) they got tired and were not able to keep quiet, so my daughers were taking them back to the hotel to put them to bed. We were followed out by the Emcee and treated very rude and told to take our kids home and don't come back. Seems like he was more worried about not getting any donations than he expected. Unknowing to him, my wife and I were going to stay and we offered him money, but we were told to leave also. You had your day Mr. Emcee, but what goes around comes around. The music was great but the Emcee is rude and very arrogant! Johnny Kelly, Hazen Arkansas.
Good music, friendly people that are very talented and you will not be sorry for going. There will be folk music, country music and a lot of gospel. One may even hear a 'twang' of Blue Grass every once in a while. I highly recommend this show to everyone. Young, old and there are usually young people on stage performing also. A good, clean family type show.
These people of Mountain View are passionate about their music and so ever enjoy sharing what they do. The young children are encouraged from VERY young to become involved, through school and after programs. amazing! Quite a variety of music is offered at Jimmy Driftwood barn. Casual, fun place to go for an hour or stay longer. Foot tapping, hum along, friendly people abound . Just the love of MUSIC...
Very informal. No charge but they took up an offering to go to missions. Beautiful music by locals who love what they do. Don't miss it.
Mostly retired folks who enjoy music. But they were very friendly, and it was free. Much music in the town.
A must see to experience music from the early settlers, an interactive show that allows the viewer to become actively involved in the singing and fun.
Went a couple of years ago and loved it. My dad was a Jimmy Driftwood fan and I grew up listening to his music, so it was nice to hear some of the old music. Nice place and great show.
It is a must, when you love Old Time Countrymusic. Where can you find 20 or 30 artists on stage and you do not pay one single Cent? Tips are welcome. Ok, the audience is grey and 65+, the performers are not much younger but excellent. The organization is perfect, there is not a secondbrake between the superb various artists. Birdy Munich-Germany
