The gorge is a relaxing walk, you can see the waterfalls and rapids up close. The walkways are close to the water and there are many good vantage points for photos.
It was quite exciting to walk over the gorge on the bridge during spring thaw. There were ice formations on the rocks and banks so the spray was chilly and foreboding!
The River Gorge, along with the walk around the Lac des Nations, are certainly some of the most enjoyable attractions in Sherbrooke. There is a series of paths winding around and across the Gorge. The paths are dark at night, but Sherbrooke is very safe. Additionally, the "falls" are lit at night with changing colors and when ice gathers in the winter it becomes a unique and beautiful experience.
Went for a walk on this surprising steel walkway along the river and noted all the condos beside the falls and could help thinking that's GOT to be loud in those condos! Amazing walk along and over the river and VERY surprised to find this in the middle of a city. Well worth the walk unless your scared of bridges and/or heights. Could be unnerving as you can see through the metal floor you're walking on but rest assured I jumped up and down and made sure it was solid :) great views and awesome place to go for a walk after lunch :)
Todo en Magog es encantador, aprovechamos el área de picnic y aunque no era un día tan primaveral como hubiéramos deseado recorrimos la zona y disfrutamos de la vista de plácidos lagos y del tumultuoso río Magog. Un lugar para volver...
A nice walk in the middle of town that was combined with a tour of the murals. There are a few lookout spots to take photos of the gorge and rushing river.
interesting walk along the promenade, which is well maintained. gives you a chance to see nature in the city too. it was also interesting to note that there are apartments (which means people actually live there) next to the gorge!
We really enjoyed our visit to the gorge. There are walking trails along the river and a bridge where you can cross over top of the dam. Great place to take pictures.
This is one of the best attractions in Sherbrooke. In the city itself a beautiful piece of nature. Trees and water fall makes this very comfortable walk a unique experience. This is a great family expérience.
