Dinner at the Steakhouse was okay. I think it is overpriced and the portions are not very generous. Our server had only worked there for about six weeks, so he was not very knowledgeable. I ordered the 6 oz. filet mignon, medium well. It was actually burned on the outside and well done on the inside. I should have sent it back, but didn't. Once is enough for me for this restaurant!
It was a nice Casino for New Years Eve. There was plenty of workers, bar tenders, and entertainment. They had a breakfast buffet at midnight it was okay nothing spectacular. We sure had a lot of fun.
I visited the Live last night, and will not be going back. Started with an invite from them for my Birthday... it said a guaranteed prize up to 1000 .. well when it came time to choose my bday box,, there wasn't a box over 20.00 to win.. I ask the lady at the counter, and was told the machine is computer generated , so it pulls up what boxes to choose from on it's own. So, anyway went a played for awhile,, then ended up in the bar area, Poor Service ! Waited at the bar for 15 minutes trying to get a drink, the bartenders seen my friend and I was there but they made sure they stayed over with a group of patrons,, instead of servicing others. needless to say I felt as if it was because my friend was black,, I had to leave the bar and go to the customer service desk, I requested a manager to speak with about it,, and she the manager had to go to the bar,, and personally make sure we had service. I would consider this one of the worst casinos to attend.. not because of this event, but because I have been in there several times, and service sucks,, the slots seem to be tightened down,, not much fun there at all. I would suggest going to the casino in Anderson..if you want an eventful evening.
this casino rips you off bad the more you spend the faster you lose and you can forget about getting any of it back ben there done that over and over thay are likely watching you take money out of your bank and laughing wile you play and lose it
The Best Steakhouse a long with the best waitress in the state. Miss Tara is the sweetest. We will always love the experience here.
Indiana Grand (name has been changed from Indiana Live) is really a fun place to go for a day trip. We live quite close and go for an hour or so of slot play occasionally. The casino has most all the newer slots and boasts a nice live poker pit. The only drawback is there are no live table games. There is no attached hotel but there are motels in Shelbyville and the casino provides a shuttle on weekends to and from the hotels. The buffet is excellent and reasonably priced and offers a 1/2 price lunch buffet on Mondays to players (with a players card) that are 50 or over. There's a steakhouse that I'm told serves very good food but I've never been there so can't offer an opinion.
The food is fair but until today you were able to use your card to get free or greatly reduced food, At the 50,000 point level previously the benefits were honestly pretty good ... but not any more ..But my biggest beef is that when they switched cards they SWORE .. both on the internet and in person at the casino each and every point on your card would be transferred to the new card ..I lost $150 worth of slot points today ... and the casino host said not to worry .. they will show up when the transfer to the new system is complete .... I'll check this weekend and I will update this post if they are there .... if not ... look for Page two in a week or so Marie T
We had a great meal at the steakhouse @ Indiana Grand casino. The service was great and the food was perfect. The manager, Steven, acted as if we were in his home. He was so nice and accomadating. You have to go here. they have the best steaks in Indy
I've played at many casinos. The machines here are rigged. The poker tables make it a habit of giving multiple players monster hands frequently so that the bidding is increased and the house can take in more. On my worst day in a Vegas casino I've done better than my best here. I've sworn off this casino even though I love ten minutes away.
We stopped here on impulse returning from a long weekend trip, just to have lunch at the buffet and do a little gambling. We were there on a Monday, and anyone over 50 was half price at the buffet, so it was cheaper than a stop at McD's! For the price, the food was good and plentiful with plenty of variety to please the 4 of us ... not quite Las Vegas standard, but not Las Vegas prices, either. Spent maybe an hour at the slot machines afterwards ... seemed very busy for a Monday afternoon, and we were not impressed by all the smoking. (Found out later there were apparently "smoking" and "nonsmoking" sections, but as first timers, did not find that well marked at all.)
