This is part of the Carbrillo National Monument, no ships can miss this lighthouse. If you're already up there check it out.
This has a ton of trails and views, views, views are easy to come about. There is a fee to go into the parking lot by the light house but not for the tide pools below. The few dollars spent to park is well worth it and in san diego prices it is a cheap place to park ant hike. do a little research on the dates and events that the lighthouse offers as you may find yourself getting a treat to the house being open or finding a large navy ship coming into port, you will want your camera and anything to help you see your distances.
Outstanding views of San Diego and the Coronado. One can see into Mexico. During whale season, you'll spot some whales on their way to Mexico. You'll also get a history lesson about San Diego. Really, need to stop here while visiting San Diego. Hit the tide pools on your way out.
a bit of a drive but worth it! Only $5 per car to enter and offers absolutely beautiful views of San Diego. Highly recommend it!
This is a must see lighthouse. Beautiful views of ships going in and out of the bay. Great history. Nice hikes up and down the trails.
If you have a couple of hours i recomend you to go to this wonderful place, a sunny day this is were you want to be. To learn about the history and read about a harsch life for the light keeper is nice.
The Lighthouse and Cabrillo National Monument share a campus so make sure to go to both. They are beautiful and historic and offer some of the most amazing g views of San Diego and Catalina a, a lo g with open ocean views. Great aces to take photos. It is located on an active Naval Base, so follow the signs. There is a fee to get in, though we went on Presidents Day Weekend so admission. Was free.
This is the spot to look over the Pacific or into San Diego harbor. If you are lucky a large Navy ship and planes will be moving in and out of the harbor. The history of the point is worth reading about at the park. You might even see some whales...if in the San Diego area you must go.
You get great views out here. And if you are lucky you get to see a whale or two. Go down below and visit the tide pools while you are here.
This is a nice place to visit while in the area. This lighthouse is a museum and quiet interesting. It is worth the drive, not far from downtown along the way to Cabrillo Monument. There were lots of people there and we all took turns climbing up the winding staircase. It is worth going there at least once.
