They have a great barbeque and other food choices for the family to enjoy. The tickets are reasonable and sometimes free. They have entertainment between innings so everyone has fun
This park is home to the SF Giants' farm team. Being so close to the MLB team gives plenty of opportunities for big-leaguers on rehab assignments to be seen by the locals. But even without that, the games are fun, there are lots of games and give-aways for the kids, and the mascot is wild and crazy. Tickets are very reasonable, though parking is $10 and food and drinks are ballpark priced. But we had a great time and recommend it!
My family and I were visiting other family members in San Jose for the week and we deceided to go see a baseball game. We had a great time the announcers kept everyone entertained. What made the event even better was that you are able to pick up FREE tickets to most games at the local stores. The only out of pocket expense was a $10.00 parking fee, but who's complaining when a family of 6 can see a great game for free. Seats were comfortable for bleachers and great vision of the field. You can purchase box seats, but, why bother. Food and drinks were very expensive, but, it always is at these types of events. If you plan on purchasing any food you should try the barbaque area, food slightly higher then at other sections but worth the extra cost. My recomendation is to get to the stadium and have some real family fun!
My wife and I went with friends to Saturday's baseball game where the San Jose Giants continued their winning streak against the Inland Empire 66ers. Great game! We had general admission tickets and sat in the bleachers on the home field side (in the shade). Great view, less than 50 feet from first base.
...with friends or family. It is so comfortable and close feeling. Easy to get to and easy to find parking. FUN summer night activity for all.
My wife and I discovered this place during the 1994 Major League Baseball strike. Muni Stadium is the home of the San Jose Giants. Over the last 20 years we have seen a number of players play there that later went on to be major league players. Players like: Pablo Sandoval, Buster Posey, Matt Cain to name a few. With a little bit of work you can find free tickets at select San Jose Merchants or you can normally buy reasonably priced tickets the day of the game at the stadium box office. Enjoy the game.
It's an older ballpark, but still a great place to watch a game. It's inexpensive, and the small stadium makes for an intimate baseball experience. The people who work there are extremely helpful and friendly, and the fans are easy going. The between-innings entertainment is always enjoyable, too.
I liked that you can sit by the field and sometimes get to talk with the players, and they like to interact with the younger generation of fan's. Price is reasonable, but the parking could be improved.Over all it is a good wholesome experience for Old (like me) and young.
It is great fun to go to a game and doesn't cost an arm and leg!!Goiod fun, great family fun too. Excellent to bring kids to a game.Parking is easy too.
The stadium was built in 1942. If you want to get up close and personal with the future ballplayers, definitely give this place a visit! Not only is pretty much every seat a good one, but this place has the BEST BBQ--Turkey Mike's! Oh, and best kept secret: The Churro's here are THE best! Even better than the ones that they sell in SF!! Baseball and Summer--nothing better than this.
