Cute little park centered on a palazzo on top of a cliff, offering picturesque views of La Concha beach and its environs. No more, no less.
We were at the Miramar Palace for a conference. It certainly is one of the most unique conference locations I have been in. The palace is a surprisingly sprawling complex. Rooms are varied in size. Nevertheless, it is the exterior and the location that really make Miramar palace a highlight. Set in a park like setting that goes down to the one rocky outcropping on the beach, the view of Miramar Palace and the view from the palace itself are both outstanding. The palace also has very unique architecture in comparison to the rest of the city. Even if you do not have a reason to go to the palace, take the time to walk to it while visiting San Sebastian.
Very nice surroundings; large and spacious rooms; lounges and seating corners; clean and well maintained toilettes. The conference was interesting, but that's beyond the point.
One of the best things about this palace is probably the views you can enjoy from the top of its gardens: the whole Bay at your feet!!! And it doesn't matter if the sun is shinning or grey big clouds cover the sky, the result is the same: breathtaking.
What a great for a picnic or a lazy nap on the lawn! This is a beautiful site with a terrific view of the beach and sea. The grounds have gorgeous flowers in bloom. Locals were sunning themselves on the grass when we were there. It is a lovely spot.
Buy some food and a bottle of cider and have a picknick in the garden of the palace looking over the beaches and city. This is how the Basques do it. happybaskday
This place was very nice. I had a great picknick in the park with a perfect view over the bay, la concha beach and a part of the city. Very nice when you make a walk and with good weather!
Apparently an English influenced design going back though the queens heritage at time it was built. Now owned by local council and gardens maintained to high standard very colourful at time of our visit. The views from front garden make you realise what a stunning property it must have been in its hayday. You can just walk up from the promenade and sit on the benches in the grounds and soak up the scenery for free!
There was so much to see with the stunning views of the ocean and the well manicured property. It was such a treat and would recommend it if you have the chance to come by.
The views are very nice, they keep it clean and they even let dogs inside (with a leash).Calm place as well.
