it is a real bush pub. Very clean, heaps of memorabilia. Good cold beer. The whole town of Silverton was very interesting, even the Donkey
We came to Broken Hill specifically to have a sundowner at the Silverton Hotel. We drove out at 6pm on a Thursday and were the only tourists that evening. The pub is a classic old stone building and is stuffed with momentos of movies filmed in the area, old photos and knick knacks. We sat outside watching the incomparable outback light fading through rosé to dark, chatting to the owners and an old local who had ridden up on his horse. It was magical and wonderfully peaceful. Highly recommended.
We stopped by at the pub on our way back from Mundi Mundi lookout and so glad we did. Pub gives a good feel of the outback. The interior is quite unique and I especially loved reading different notes hanging from the ceiling. Good place to stop for a drink or two. Staff were really friendly and helpful too. Definitely worth a visit :)
Lots of history and memorabilia to look at. Enjoyed our visit. Plenty of other attractions to see as well.
Lots of memorabilia and photos. Friendly staff, good cheap food served quick. Great facilities outside. Would love to see a band on that stage! Good idea - truck cabin+stage+truck cabin.
After the drive from Broken Hill it was nice to arrive at this Hotel. We were greeted by a setting sun, happy barman and a publican running around getting things organized. There are 3 places for you to enjoy a drink here, but I highly recommend that you have your first in the pub to read all the signs and sayings that line the walls. We went outside as it was such a great night with such beautiful, this a place you can hear yourself think and enjoy the tranquility of the place. Didn't realize that you could stay here as the last time we came the accomodation was not there. And the rooms my partner looked at and she seemed pretty happy with the set up, and wow what a spot to enjoy for the night.Like this town have a good look around here and have a feed even if it is there famous hot dogs delivered by the beautiful smiling German Cook.A place you will never forget, and a drive that you will always remember.
This is an iconic pub. There is a friendly atmosphere and also heaps of memorabilia from the Mad Max days and heaps of other things to see. When we were there there were heaps of bikers and also other visitors there.Dont forget to visit there when in and around Broken Hill....great spot to visit
Brilliant pub, full of memorabilia, so more like a museum than a pub. The Owners are lovely very welcoming and i recommend you take the test.
The beer was cold, but went with friends and ordered lunch after waiting probably 40 minutes there meals arrived (a hamburger and hot dog), sat there thinking well ours will be here in a minute, they had finished eating and ours still hadn't come. Went to check with staff and they hadn't even placed our order. Did give us a refund but would suggest calling in, it is worth a look, have a drink but maybe forgo the meal.
