Loved the area. It's so beautiful. Would love to live out there. We went to Hollywild animal sanctuary saw all the Christmas lights and even got to feed the deer and many other animals in the petting zoo
My family and I had the best time at the Glow Run at Heritage Park this weekend! What a wonderful place to visit. It was my first time at the park and I was very impressed with the size and how clean it was. Being a fan of not ever having to use the porter potties I was very nervous to see that was the only option for the run. I was very surprised to see what I think was the cleanest porter potty I have ever used! We can not wait to go back for the next event! Whether it be another 5k, a concert, or just a walk in the park... I am very happy to see we have such a place in South Carolina!
This is a nice area with ball fields, the launching of hot air balloons during during Freedom Weekend Aloft over Memorial Day Weekend. Sad to say the bands have to face into the sun during summer time. Plenty of parking.
We went to the Foreigner, Styx, Don Felder concert on 5/30/2014 and had a great time. Sound quality was the best! My 14 yr old boy had a blast. We will definitely be back when another classic rock band or hard rock band tours there!
I moved to the Upstate 10 years ago and always wanted to attend Freedom Alfot over Memorial Day Weekend. I finally went with out of town family members and the experience was way better than we imagined. The hot air balloons are magnificent to view. The food selection was really good. The people working at the event were all friendly and helpful. There were quite a few rides for all ages which included the mobile zip line. The bathroom facilities were kept clean even with such a large crowd. There is plenty of parking and they have that organized very well. Would recommend this event to anyone who has never seen the hot air balloons to go next year.
The only con of this facility is the one entrance and 1 exit. Everything that could be, was. The wide expanse, the family games and the fireworks to end the night. Great time.
On our way from the Lowcountry to spend a few days in Greenville, we made it a point to stop in at the balloon festival, Aloft!, at Heritage Park. We're glad that we did, even if it meant getting up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday to watch a mass ascension... which we didn't get to see because the balloons lifted off from another location and just floated over the park. But it was worth it anyway, so we shot some photos, walked around a bit, checked out all of the rides and vendors that were opening later in the day, and drove back to breakfast in Greenville. The park looked like a great place to hang around, to play sports and to watch balloons once a year. The essential facilities are fine and so is security, which was as tight as at JFK. Even cameras were checked to be sure they weren't really guns or bombs. A bit inconvenient, but that's become the world we live in.
Great park, and the train rides for little ones are a hit. There are two different playgrounds - one for the little ones, and one for older children.
We are very fortunate to have a large park with an amphitheater that has top notch performances. They have a small train ride for children and lots of picnic areas. The only downside is no dogs allowed which may be a plus to many.
Spent many weekends at Heritage Park over the years as my son played baseball. This facility is well maintained and family friendly.
