Very cool placeThey specialize in heavier, hoppier beers....You've been warned...Most breweries have attractively-priced brews for those who are willing to pilgrimage to the brewery, Mothers doesn't do this
This is a fun place to go, and their local flair to the brewery is cool. We have a place in Springfield that ships good product outside of MO. The product is good, and the people are nice, so way to go.Their seasonal brews are some of my favorite, and have accompanied my calm adult return to allowing an alcoholic beverage back on the table. No partiers and chuggers wlecome! Go to the massive distributers for that. Slow sippers for sober enjoyment, and great product is for those that enjoy the occasional bottle.
Visited with a friend while visiting Springfield and was very pleasantly surprised to find a good range of ales with varying tastes for all palettes including seasonal ales. Their chocolate stout for winter was different, but for someone with a sweet tooth and like of beer, a good combination. Friendly members of staff who explained the range to me. Unfortunately the day we went they were closing early for their christmas staff party, but we had enough time to sample some of the beers and take a selection with us. The sampling room is basic, tables and chairs, but it's the beverages that keeps you there. Would like to return with my friends on a next trip to the US. You can spend from 30 minutes to maybe just over an hour, but then it's always recommended to have a designated driver, should you spend more than one hour there.
when we go to branson we always make sure to stop here and try the new beers they have only in their tasting room. you can take a tour on saturday and then you can sample four beers,
While staying at a Bed & Breakfast near Branson, MO my husband and I visited a distillery (Copper Run). The beer on tap (used in a few cocktails) was Mother's. We had never heard of this brewery so we "googled" it and planned to stop on our way home. A tasting room is open for visitors as well as free tours. Several beers are on tap including a few varieties only available in the tasting room. Growlers are available for purchase if you want to take some home with you. Bottles are available too! The beer is great! I am glad we took time to stop. Now we just need to convince our local liquor store to carry this beer!! Nit Wit was our favorite so we filled a growler and bought bottles of the Sandy and the Spring seasonal. We will definitely stop again!
Mothers is easily the best brewery in Springfield. The tasting room always has beers that you can't get anywhere else. They don't have food but feel free to bring snacks.
I was able to go during Beer Week to sample the many different and inventive beer from Mother's. They have a great variety and very different brews. The cucumber was a nice change! The tasting room is great and the staff is always helpful. Love getting to visit here.
I love this brewing company and I have been to a few in my time! The wide selection of craft beers that they make is fabulous, and the tasting room is the only place to try their experiments. Be forewarned that they don't typically fit into the beer niches. Their brown is not typical, their IPA is not typical, etc., and I for one think that is an awesome thing.
Mothers is a fun place to hang out. They have a great tasting room where you can buy/taste beers that are not available commercially. I love to stop and taste a few. The free tour on Saturday's is fun and you get to taste several beers at the end of the tour. The place is growing like crazy due to great marketing. I live near Kansas City and always check the Mother's beer section in the local stores. They have very good limited edition beers. They all have fun names and great tastes.
I just wish they'd bottle most of them! The tour was led by Jeff and can you ever tell that this man is passionate about the beer business! These guys have a great little business going here, and this brewery is worth a few hours of your time. After sampling the better know varieties, my dad and I thought it prudent to buy a couple of Mother's stainless steel growlers and fill up on some of their Rumspringa. If anyone from Mother's is reading this: PLEASE bottle this concoction, as I can only come up with so many excuses for driving to Springfield!
