This part of the city has the most amazing cute looking wooden houses. Its simple adorable to view these cutely decorated houses. Walk along these charming streets during morning hours to enjoy the chirpiness down the lane.
Gamle Stavanger is the older part of the city. It is built up by small, charming wooden houses mostly painted white. The streets are narrow and in the summertime "sprinkled" with colorful flowers. Best enjoyed when the sun is shining. This is a place for people that like architecture, piece and quiet. Enjoy strolling I'm the narrow streets and imagine how it was living there some 100 years ago.
Beautiful traditional white houses, immaculately kept, spectacular flowers. Just at the port where the cruise ships dock. best visit on a sunny day. Only 2 streets, takes 20minutes at most.
Every time I go into Stavanger I love to walk through here, it's so beautiful. It's a lovely walk! I'm in love with Stavanger.
Charming part of the city with narrow streets with old houses with lots of soul. Very nice area for a walk.
This is a really charming part of stavanger, and is among the oldest wood house buildings in the world. It is free to wander around and look, but please remember: WE live there ! It is NOT a museum, but real houses where real people live. So PLEASE DO NOT behave rude or think that it is just to walk in, look into windows or use their toilets.!It is important to remember that due to the fact that this is living houses, there are no facilities like parking, toilets, cafes or restaurants in the closest area. ENJOY.
