Thank you for taking time to review us. And hope to see you again soon.
Thank you for your review, unfotunately we are not a church, but the museum and art gallery on Dumbarton Road. I think you visited the church of the Holy Rude http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g191266-d534366-Reviews-Church_of_the_Holy_Rude-Stirling_Scotland.htmlWhich is in deed a beautiful church with outstanding stained glass windows. With thanksAdmin
We are trying really hard to stop being hidden so thank you for leaving a review and spreading the word.We like being a gem though :) thank you for your positive feedback.
Thank you for your kind review of the Smith, many of our displays change every 6 weeks so keep popping back to see the new exhibitions.

If have any images please load them up to trip advisor for all to see.We look forward to seeing you back in the Smith again soon.

Wow what a kind comprehensive review! Thank you!
Wow. This is one of those places we need to treasure and keep alive. In a world where mediocrity is celebrated 'if it looks good' and where it seems that everything has to be standardised and fit the same template, the Stirling Smith is a precious nugget whose beauty lies in its eclecticism. So many wonderful things to see on so many topics. Wandering round this place is an adventure: who knows what's round the next corner?Well presented artefacts with clear, concise and informative narratives alongside them. Here you'll find stories that few , if any , other museums can or dare tell. The building is an exhibit in itself. Staff are welcoming and helpful. There's a cafe. And , joy of joys, no gift shop full of plastic tat and ephemera completely unrelated to anything to be found in the building. There are a few books for sale. Free parking. A 5 minute walk from Stirling City Centre and a 15-20 min walk from Stirling Castle. It's our duty to support places like this. Fantastic. Wonderful. Interesting. Clever. Go!
Newest addition to collection is lots of cabinets filled with pewter plates. This did not fire my I imagination but can appreciate that some people must find it fascinating. The whole gallery was extremely hot with some kind of blown heating so we could not linger over the other exhibits
Review like this make us smile, because we know we are getting it right. We are glad you had such a positive experience and I remember you chatting with Peter while we were arranging the flowers for the opening. And it was good you joined us at the opening too. Hopefully we will see you again in the future.
