Went there to meet some friends, the place was still dirty from a rainstorm and remodeling. We met up and since there was only a cafeteria style eatery we left. Advertising stressed Bourbon Sguare, which we thought would have some food remotely cajun, but there was none. Now I understand why they are closed.
Nice casino with less smoke than other casino's I have visited. While gambling bar service was provided. It was so nice even the security person in the morning offered coffee or tea. Good benefits for sign up for players card. Bourbon Square was a nice place to do a little gaming and have a quiet, friendly place to hang out.
I can't stop going there if you want free money go yo burbon they are so loose you wish you would have known sooner
I had a great time just playing here. The slots weren't packed so tightly together that it made me feel like a sardine in the can. This property has been upgraded greatly with a great atmosphere, and the staff was truly welcoming. They attended to me like I was a VIP. It made me feel right at home, even though I was the complete tourist. I enjoyed it here!
They need to get a restaurant manager that has some experiencein running a restaurant..... Very Very poor and not worth stopping
We took family here when my son got married it was great food! the prices are a bit higher then I expected. The staff was ok not as attentive on getting you drinks as other places we went but ok. I would have liked to see more of a variety of foods out but what we ate was very tasty with a new Orleans atmosphere
Breakfast is OUTSTANDING, no complaints, love the biscuits and gravy but the BUFFET SUCKS BIG TIME.... the food was not hot, the selection was crappy, I felt like I was robbed having bought and paid for four. It was embarrassing to me to have brought two old friends to feast on such lousy food. I have not brought myself to go back and gamble there or to have breakfast there.... it does not bring good memories to mind.
I was in Sparks for Hot August Nights (this year it was end July/first part August). I stopped at Bourbon Square Casino to cool off from the heat and play a bit. I won and cashed out ahead. Staff there is very nice and friendly; good customer interaction. Its a smaller place and is close to the Nuggett Casino which is across the street in Sparks, Nevada.
The food is horrible, the eating area is a joke left over from several owners ago. Some in the party got sick. Locals avoid it. The phony accents used are a joke. You gag on the smell of cigarette smoke.
Being there one week ahead of the Rib Cookoff, I dropped by to eat in their buffet. I paid half of what I would have paid at the Cookoff, but the food was three times better--and you get to eat as much as you want!! They had three different types of ribs, great cajun food, and the BEST pot roast I've ever tasted (they cook it 15 hours). It was so rich, and all the meat was so tender, I was so glad to have enough dementia that I missed the rib cookoff. What an incredibly wonderful surprise!!! (Staff were all friendly too.)
