We did the zip line tour, there were a total of 5 plus a rappel. The zip lines were nice, I would really recommend these if you are a first timer. If you are more experienced at zip lines, these may disappoint a bit. Had to hand break and had to keep hands on the trolley (I think that is what the equipment is called). I would recommend this place, it was fun and the staff were very nice. We didn't get the time to do it, but I might also recommend the nature tour, we had one of the nature guides on our zip line and learned a bit. I'd have no problem recommending a family trip or outing to Cypress Valley Canopy Tours. I look forward to some of the growth and changes they have in store. The bathrooms had sinks that we could not figure out how to turn on, that was a bit disappointing.
Thank you so much for flying through the trees with us! We look forward to your return.
Thanks so much for coming out! We are glad you enjoyed your tour. Let us know if you would like to come back out for a Lofthaven stay, or a moon light tour. We will be doing a moon light tour in September, as well as October. Thanks again!
Went zip lining for the first time at Cypress Valley Canopy and really enjoyed the experience. Our guides were fun, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe in their guidance. The trees were beautiful and zip lining through them gives a great perspective on how giant and lovely they are. We will return!
Had a great time zipping through the trees (I mean as much fun as zip lining can be I suppose) and our guides were amazing...actually the highlight of the tour (Thanks Shelby!). We had booked our stay in the Tree House for May but couldn't go until last weekend and the staff were very accomidating when it came to making changes. The tree and the accomping ground house were amazing and if it wasn't for the tempature reaching 108 degrees we would have stayed the entire night. No A/C to be had so we cut the trip short when (even after sundown) the tent was sweltering. The fans do not help...with a little a/c unit this would have been 5 stars...I do get that is the point of staying in a tree house but be warned this is more of a spring/fall experience in my opinion.
We stayed in Lofthaven II for a special birthday celebration, and it was fantastic. The bathhouse, hot tub, waterfall and yurt bedroom were just like the pictures! We were sung to sleep by the sounds of crickets, frogs, a gurgling creek and woke up to an owl and other birds singing to the sunrise! I absolutely recommend an October stay due to the weather and migrating monarch butterflies that flock to the valley and creek bed. Everywhere we looked below the treehouse and zip couse were dozens of monarchs flying around or settling on the ground cover. Beautiful, peaceful and a lot of fun!
the staff was very patient with my 11 year old daughter who has a slight fear of heights, and helped her overcome that so she could enjoy the rest of the time. we had a great time!
This was such a great adventure. My wife and her son did this zipline tour at the top of a huge/old stand of cypress trees, near Austin. The staff was very fun, yet professional. The zipline and obstacle courses were great fun. Even though we were ~30 feet up in the air the whole time, I felt quite safe. Well done!
I ended up getting a really good deal on this excursion. Certain days of the week are buy one, get one free, so my family of 4 basically went for half price. It was pretty fun. We have never ziplock Ed before. The tour guides were nice, Interactive, and friendly. We all had fun!
Took my son here and we both had a lot of fun. Nice guides. The place only has about 4 cables to zip on but they mix it up with rope bridges and the scenery is beautiful. It's a good thing to do in Hill Country
