Edgewood is a wonderful golf course in Stateline, by far the best in the area. It is long (over 7,500 yds from the back tees), but at over 6,000 ft elevation it doesn't play as long as it is. The views are great, especially holes bordering Lake Tahoe. It is always in super condition and it plays fast, 4 hours for 18 holes. The drawback is, it is not inexpensive, $250 for a round.
This place is magnificent! Beautiful place for a wedding! My niece got married here in July and it was a perfect setting and the staff was very helpful. I just want to golf there next time I go!
The over all dinning experience we had at the Edgewood was the best we had in Lake Tahoe. The food was cooked to perfection. There was a wedding going on while we were there but it did not take away from the dinning room. Meals were hot and just the right amount of time in between courses. Service was unparalleled, attentive and entertaining. The only down fall for us, we went on our last night there & did not get to experience the beautiful views due the the smoke from the Kings Fire. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for a wonderful night out. When in Tahoe will go back.
I recently had the opportunity to play the Edgewood Lake Tahoe golf course and had a fabulous time. Although not an easy course, it is very playable for all levels of players. As a high handicap player, I found it was very fair. It is in immaculate condition with beautiful scenery. The pace of play was excellent. While not inexpensive, it is still worthwhile paying for a wonderful experience.
The course is magnificent and they are making more improvements to it.The staff is great - feels just like my home country club. The other patrons are all nice as well from what I experienced. Great places to eat at the course.Good range and practice area.
Well conditioned course. Staff very cordial and outgoing. Good pace of play, rangers keep it moving. Last several holes scenic with lake and mountain views.
Edgewood has a fantastic golf course, but it also has a wonderful restaurant. The setting is spectacular right on Lake Tahoe. The food is always good as is the service. If you are in South Lake Tahoe try it.
We were here for a wedding lady night and I must say, although I'm not a skier, this was worth a trip out to Tahoe. The views behind the reception room looked as if we were on the ocean. Breathtaking. The backdrop behind the podium where the couple married was similar. The food was great quality and all the service staff were very attentive and respectful. I think this is a great place to get married, ski buff or not!
Visited here for a wedding in July. When it comes to weddings in Tahoe, I cannot imagine that there is a better venue than this place. 15 steps from where the bride and groom said their vows and you are on the sand of the beach. The staff operates like a well oiled machine, especially the officiating pastor. The food was out of this world as well. They had a buffet of various main courses along with an omelette station. We were at a noon wedding so it made sense. I tried to sample everything but there was so much that I missed the salmon benedict. I can't imagine what the bill is for a venue like this as I know to golf 18 at the course here is $250 per green fee. If you have the money and you like Tahoe, do it and you won't be disappointed...until you actually realize that you promised to spend the rest of your life with ONE PERSON!
Aside from golf, sit out on the deck, enjoy the food & libations and see a beautiful sunset! A great way to spend time with friends or on your own!
