On the one hand, a great venue to see almost any type of event. There is ample parking, little traffic getting in and out, a well laid out arena and plenty of concession stands with lots of food choices. On the other, be prepared to pay big. Not just typical arena overprices, but even more. We go to many arenas and venues throughout the U.S. and the BB&T Center as it is now called puts most of them to shame. $11 for a soda, $12 for a turkey sandwich, about $20 for a "double" liquor drink. In fact, one of the bartenders was complaining that the prices are now so high that she is seeing a reduction in sales and tips. That said, the food is not bad. If you are going to an event, I suggest you eat before or after though, and limit yourself to snacks and a drink. That's we now do there because we can feed our entire family of 4 for what it costs for a few soft drinks and pretzels. We can afford the prices, but we have gotten to the point where it is just silly and a waste of money at the BB&T concession stands now.
The only concellation is that their are many venues throughout the year that I enjoy going to, since the arena is 10 minutes from my home in Davie! It is a beautiful arena and the food is really good (and expensive!)
A surprise Val day gift from my daughter - ANDREA BOCCELLI - fabulous. The town of Sunrise was disappointing. Hotels overpriced - we made themistake of eating at Giovannis - disgusting - overpriced and almost inedible.Much better was One Burger. But the BB and T Center was great - politestaff and very clean. We were just next door to Ikea - which was muchmore fun for us than the big shopping mall. La Quinta desk personnelwere very polite and knowledgeable.
Our group of 6 recently attended a hockey game in the ADTsection of the BankAtlantic Center. This section is absolutely amazing. First of all the food is fantastic. It is a buffet with roast beef, shrimp, fish, pasta station, chicken pizza and the best dessert bar I've seen in a long time. The bar service was included in our price and the bartenders were extremely friendly and courteous. Our seats were great, set up in rows of just three to a row complete with a place to put your drink. Restroom facilities were very close and clean. This is the section to be in to watch a hockey game as a group. Oh yes, free parking was part of the ticket also. A great night for everyone in our group.
We have taken in a few concerts here and have always had great experience. The seating arrangement is well designed, with little chance of your view being blocked by the folks in front of you. Plenty of restrooms and bars, Of course, the beer is amazingly overpriced.
I love going to the BankAtlantic Center, whether it is to watch a hockey game or catch a show or concert. Very helpful staff are eager to assist locating your seat and there are a variety of food options onsite.
We visited this place on a non-sporting event occasion and we liked how well organized everything was. Every seat seemed to have a good view of the main stage, sound was great, bathrooms were easily accessed and, in all, I would say that this is a really good and safe place to attend any type of events.
Bank Atlantic Center did a fantastic job with the venue , no complaints , seating was plentiful if you got there early which we did. My only complaint is not very handicap/elderly friendly in the parking lots. We got there 60 minutes before graduation ceremony, we had a rough time getting my senior in laws up to the venue because of all the walking. My suggestion would be to have golf carts or trolly trams for the handicap/elderly . Even in a wheelchair that walk is a long up hill hard to reach arena.
From "Home of the Panthers," graduations, concerts and everything in between, this venue does it all. Bring cash because it's not cheap (when has any arena ever been cheap?) but if you happen to own a Lexus, you have complimentary parking in the lexus lot,so get there early! Thank you South Florida Lexus dealers!
Great place for the Panthers, I come here for the Great Hockey Games. I brought my cousin here to watch a Live Hockey Game, he loved it, he was convinced that I wanted to freeze him that night. I bursted out laughing because I took him Ice Skating earlier that day. I bought us Panther T-Shirts to match & "Feel the Experience of the Panthers".
