This is as close to original forest as you will get in Metro Vancouver except for Lighthouse Park. The walkways are wide and easy. This is the perfect picnic place. Great for kids. Wintertime, if we have snow, take your Xcountry skis. Take a camera for sure in any season.
I went back to this park recently. It is not off leash but terrific for picnics. The trees have gotten sooooo tall that you can barely seethe branches. They are all labelled though. You are not allowed access to the tree house at all . A wonderful place for spending an hour.
Amazing, beautiful, unforgettable, almost unbelievable. This is a must see, I am so glad that I planned to visit this park. The trees are just awesome. So many trees, such beautiful scenery. If you have the time to visit I urge you to see this. There is a reason that it is called Beautiful British Columbia, and this is part of it.
There is a large playground which our 4 yr old loves. Picnic tables for families or groups. Lots of green space too for games. Nature trail on periphery for walks in the woods. Fairy doors on fallen logs while on trails - keep your eyes peeled.
My Daughter got married there a couple of years ago. Great place, absolutely Beautiful. So many different trees. Wonderful walking trails. Good for picnics, big & small
Great little play park, covered shelters for picnics and easy little trails in the wooded area. Great for an afternoon out, field trips or team wind ups. Little gem of a park.
We love this park. We always come here to relax and unwind. Great place for picnics as well. We especially like all the information about the trees and where they are native to.
The park was the property of two brothers, who traveled and brought back unique trees from around the world. Many of the trees are very large, more so when compared to native trees.I didn't walk the entire park, but was pleased with what I found. The trails are flat, wide and easy to navigate. It meanders across the property under the canopy of very mature trees. We found a rope swing under a very large maple tree; trees to climb for the young ones; the brothers 'reimagined' tree house; a nice picnic area for larger groups; benches throughout; and a playground that will please your children. All in all, this was a great find, it was fun, having something for all, and most importantly, it is FREE!
I love this park and last time I was there I was on a field trip with a grade 2 class. Make sure you go in the woods. The trails are amazing. I do not want to give away the special place but when my kids first seen it they were in awe. You can easily spend at least 2 hours here. Summer we spend hours here.
Lots of trees and walking trails make this a nice park to visit. Don't expect "Stanley Park" but if you are looking to visit a quiet secluded neighbourhood park you won't be disappointed. Lots of picnic tables and swings for the family.
