It wasn't easy to get there from the center of Tai Cang.I took local bus 203 to the very end.If you get off right before you reach the bridge in Fu qiao village it is only about a half hour walk east towards where the ships are being loaded.Beware of coming back late.I left at 4:30pm and never did get a bus back.Instead I shared a car ride back with two other Chinese business men.The ride on the bus takes about an hour and passes two impressive temples. One mentioned here,The Hai Tian Temple.Zheng He was the commander of a group of ships that may have gone to America 70 years before Columbus. There is a book called 1421 that chronicles his voyages and provides an interesting contrast to the western stuff we were fed in school.Cost is now 30 yuan.
