It is a must see place in Taormina - the view is amazing, the park is beautiful, entrance is free. The road to the villa contains lots of good restaurants and shops that are not so expensive as on a Main Street. This was the most remarkable place during our visit to Taormina at January 2015 - enjoy!
Pretty, well maintained public gardens. You go down a patha nd then there is an amazing view of Mt. Etna right in front of you. A perfect place for a picnic lunch - try the sandwich shop called Mamma Mia right up the block from the entrance (#59) -- it's mentioned in the Michelin guide.
Great gardens away from the hustle & bustle of main street. Serene and doesn't take very long to walk thru. Beautiful scenery!
If you are in Taormina you can not visit the garden of villa comunale. An Amazing place with a wanderfoul view
Beautiful, well maintained gardens, close to the city centre. Almost always has a lot of people, but not crowded, you can find your spot to relax.
The gardens are an oasis of freshness against the lunchtime heat, so if you are out and about shopping, this is the right place where to stop between 1.30pm and 4pmish when the shops re-open. Also a good spot from the "terrace" to take pictures of the sea and mt Etna
A great option to visit in Taormina. Beautiful view and a very well-kept garden. Very good place to go hiking.Recommend.
During our recent family holiday to Taormina, we visited these beautiful gardens twice and they were a really wonderful haven from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the Corso Umberto. They are so well kept and feature lots of interesting buildings and terraces (caged parrots were an odd addition and maybe un-necessary?) with many benches to sit and admire the surroundings, either the gardens themselves or the views of the sea and Etna. On our second visit, we purchased pizza and arancini from a nearby bar and picnicked on a bench - the best lunch we had in Taormina :) Definitely well worth a visit or three!
The perfect place for a stroll in the Sicilian sunshine- very relaxing and enjoyable, another marvellous addition to our holiday.
Arrived as the gates were opened, so I had the gardens and views to myself. Visited a number of times on my early morning walks around Taormina. Recommend any visitor to Taormina to go at least once.
