Telford town park has always been a great place to go, free to go in, suitable for adults and children of all agesIt is now nearing the end of a major refurbishment so there is still work in progressWhen finished it will be one of Telford's premier attractions, complemented by the new Southwater developementIf you have not been to Telford for a few years you will be very pleasantly suprised by it's new modern look
Something for all ages here. The library has books, games, ipads and computers and is worth a browse. The park is fantastic and is zoned into age groups. You can play mini golf and chess outside in the sun (small surcgarge) but the main attraction is the gorgeous splash area. Just wish it was open more! We have paid to go to pkaces that are not as good as this free leisure space. Well done council, development is lovely
our daughter loves visiting Telford town park, the facilities provide a large range of activities the majority or which are free.
This place is simply wonderful. I beautiful oasis of nature with man-made surroundings. Although I guess the place wouldn't have existed without the help of the industrialisation due to the railways.I went for an afternoon walk in the park and ended up walking to Iron Bridge. OK, the park does not go all the way to Iron Bridge but the track I walked along used to be an old railway line and that does go a long way. It is well worth a visit to either get away from it all or to see some of the hidden wonders of Victorian engineering, if you like old railway bridges (and why wouldn't you). There's also an old Windmill hidden away somewhere, but you'll have to find it yourself.
It's a large park and changes going on, including Wonderland, again it's nice but car parking is expensive so day out can be tarnished when leaving costs
Something for everyone here whether you want to go for a run, feed the ducks or go on the tunnel slides. Plus there's direct access to lots of places to eat and the shopping centre in Telford.
Having visited Telford Town Park on many occasions, I have had great fun. As a young Mum, both my little girls loved the play areas. They were adventurous children and there was plenty of challenge. They have both flown the nest, but I walk my dog there most weeks. It's a fantastic space with lots of wildlife in the more 'off track' places. Any criticism? I wish the formal gardens could be re-opened. The cherry garden, especially, was lovely in Spring.
love this park so much to do for all ages, there are lakes, slides, courses, fields bike tracksrestaurants, bowling and much more
I walk into the park lots of times. They have built a lot of new restaurants and hotel. New library with another phase being built. The new Premier Inn has five of my photographs in their restaurant. They have another big day here on the 28th March 2015
