Liked the old bridge, unfortunately under construction so hard to get nice picture. Best appreciated during a walking tour through the town.
This is probably usually a lovely site. However all I saw at this time was an old bridge that is closed in the centre, covered in scaffolding and littered with empty beer bottles and old construction plastic!
At the moment, the whole bridge is under reconstruction, so we didn't have that pittoresque ambiente that we were expecting. But I think to the main tourist season in sommer the works will be finished.
Unfortunately the bridge is unusable at the moment due to extensive renovations. I'm sure it will be a lovely sight when work has finished.
Very nice views of the very photogenic houses along the Nidelva and occasional river traffic. The lift bridge mechanism has been preserved/restored and is interesting....but not operational...too bad. Worth seeking out on your way to or from the cathedral.
This is a great place for romantics! Not only is the story of the bridge cute (we kissed under the arch way sealing our eternal love) the views down the canals either side are breath taking! Looking out towards the ocean you see coloured house after coloured house - all reflected perfectly on the glass-like water below. Just across the bridge is the "old town" which is also just so sweet. Postives: Amazing views, nice for romanticsNegatives: Well it is just a pretty bridge..
Great view over the city and the universtity! Cosy bridge connectin old part of Trondheim! Red and pretty
Worth visiting when you're in Trondheim. The bridge has a beautiful view of the very photogenic houses. Pretty bridge as well. Especially at winter.
A nice historic bridge. Under repair just now but you can still get a good photo. Definitely worth a look & it leads to a beautiful area of Trondheim with lots of nice cafes etc.
After stepping this bridge you step into the beauty of the town. Each house is unique and great pleasure just to take romantic walk in this ancient place. I used to walk and run here and it is certainly my favorite place in Trondheim. I recommend the restaurant right beside the bridge called Bryggen Asian Cooking. I love their sushi!
