My fiance and I have lived in Temecula for 2 1/2 years and we finally joined our first wine club! We have gone to many wineries, but this is our favorite so far. They only have a few whites, but you don't need a lot if the 2-3 you have are amazing! The reds are also very delicious. The owner/wine maker has made an appearance both times we have gone tasting, which is nice. He and his staff are very friendly and make you feel like part of the family. I also appreciate that the wines are not over priced - especially if you are a wine club member! If you love the wine, it is well worth being a club member. You get a great discount on wines, 4 people can taste for free each visit, and they offer a lot of other discounts as well. I look forward to bringing all of our friends and family to this charming and delicious winery!

We only visited three Vineyards this day and this was the smallest, most quaint as owners were on site and fabulous host! The service and realness of it all was what stood out and made me feel whole! Also, my first vineyard experiences and I really appreciated the simple and real. Enjoy Vindemia!
My wife and I made this our last stop in our one-day visit to the Temecula Wine Valley. We have visited several large wineries, and they are usually very similar in style, especially in the case of the wine tasting rooms. Some are a little too stuffy and uptight.Vindemia is a little off of the beaten path in comparison to the larger wineries in Temecula, but a small side trip is handsomely rewarded! The wine tasting area at this winery sits outside in a small garden, and the vibe is very relaxed and informal. We noticed a lot of smiles, good conversation, and rock music playing on a boom box. We were greeted warmly by a winery employee and she walked us through an extensive description of several wines. The wine tasting here comes with complimentary bread and olive oil - a nice touch. Everything that we sampled at Vindemia was outstanding, so it was a challenge for us to limit our purchase to only two bottles (if you like port dessert wines, they have a great one).Vindemia was an awesome find. We are now fans of their wine (and their fun and informal style).

One of my favorite things to do is bum around Temecula - swirling, sniffing, sipping, and spitting my way across the rolling vine-covered hills. There are lots of great wineries, and Vindemia is one of them. My boyfriend and I stumbled across this one after we had stopped at one of the larger wineries in the area and promptly left their tasting room because it was more crowded than a cake in the middle of an ant farm, with noise levels rivaling a jet engine testing laboratory. The thing that immediately attracted me to this winery (I was driving) was the sign at the end of the driveway that said "NO LIMOS or BUSES."The staff are very friendly. Conversational, but not in a fake way, and not overly-intrusive or hard to find for your next pour. They're generous with the water, bread & olive oil, and chocolate. This was my boyfriend's favorite part. He's not much of a wine drinker, yet he did purchase a bottle of their port - he likes the sweeter stuff. We went in August, which is a very toasty time of year in Temecula. Although the tasting area is outdoors, it was nicely shaded and cooled with fans and misting. In fact, the staff won't even let you order anything until you go stand in front of the largest fan and light mist and cool down a bit. While you're experiencing this delightfully old-school, but highly effective, air conditioning, they're pouring you a nice glass of iced water. Then, the real fun begins. The tasting price is very reasonable, and they do accept plastic payment. I enjoyed everything I tasted. Cowbell, Commonwealth, the Syrahs...but the gleaming jewel in Vindemia's crown is Loneliness.Generally, no one likes loneliness. But, sometimes it invigorates the soul. This Loneliness certainly invigorates your palate. Jean Paul Sartre said "Hell is other people." Most of us would find that overly bitter and hyperbolically cynical. But, if the choice is Vindemia's Loneliness and Other People then, yes, Other People are Hell and Loneliness is a heavenly retreat to a location so perfect in and of itself that your presence there may actually mar it. But, the heavenly location of Loneliness on your tongue, infusing all your senses and branching out to every inch of your being, actually makes you (if for but one moment) perfect a you're washed in the quiet beauty of Loneliness.
Way off the beaten path, and the "tasting room" is small and outside, but this is definitely worth your time. Obviously the wine makers care more about producing outstanding wines than creating a fancy place to try them, which is fine by me. Couldn't find anything on wine list that I didn't like. We went during a heat-wave, and while we had sweat pouring off us, it was worth it. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I enjoyed the pretty, garden setting of the patio. It was a welcome surprise when our pourer served us each a glass of bottled water upon greeting us. We were also offered bread and olive oil which was a thoughtful touch. Since there were several options on the tasting menu, we each bought a tasting and were able to try 10 wines. We only tasted reds since that is our preference, but there were options for white wine drinkers too. The reds were very nice, complex and dry. We enjoyed all of them and found them to be on par with our favorite Napa Valley and Central coast reds. The tasting was finished with a dessert red and a piece of dark chocolate. This winery is well worth the visit!
