I just had my wedding reception there in the emerald ballroom . Every thing was good .food , service and staff . Also we stayed over night in a nice room . My impression about the resort is very good . Clean , polite staff , nice view and beautiful updated rooms .
We used the Palmer clubhouse for wedding and reception. It was setup great with the wedding out close to the lake and reception inside with a great meal.
I first took my wife to this resort for a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of Houston. We loved it so much we have now gone back several times. What a wonderful stay. The pool is amazing and the staff very friendly. They have the lazy river under construction but looks like it will also be AMAZING once completed. We had a few issues with room service (took 3 times before our order was correct) which the resort made right with a full refund of the meal.We loved it enough we will remain regulars.
Enjoyed the golf, service was great (they ran out t get the golf coupons instead of me having to check into the room first). Plenty of space between groups, happy with course condition (played the Oaks)
On a last minute whim,i decided to take advantage of a twilight green fee option expecting to play The Panther Trail course. On arrival it was explained to me that PTC was full of kids for an event & walkups were allowed to play The Oaks which is a private resort course. It was a treat. Both layouts have been acclaimed by Golf Digest in this states top ten.The course was all that & the real estate on the perimeters of the fairways & greens even more impressive.
This course is always in great shape and I love the fast greens. It is a fairly easy course depending what T boxes you choose. The practice area is ok and so is the club house. If you are The Woodlands this would be a good place to play. Also check out the Palmer Course becuase it to is really nice, and maybe cheaper. If you need a hotel in the area as well you should look at the The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. This place is great too.
Depending on the course, gets pretty challenging. High slope and lots of water, it will definitely test your game. Loved it anyway, as only a golfer can...
Great golfing and the resort has nice rooms with great pool, especially if you have children. Close to Market St, movies and Pavilion. Fun for a conference or just a quick getaway
balcony's were very dirty with leaves. The furniture needs updating very badly. Both beds were terrible to sleep in. The suite that sleeps up to eight only sleeps four. The floors were very dirty. Ketchup or blood on the ceiling. Also, the waterpark was definitly NOT up to par. For $350 a night was NOT worth it. The Hyatt in San Antonio is way much better.
The resort was built in 1974 so not new, but it was build with beautiful surroundings. We have a room with a small terrace that looks out to a pond full of ducks, geese, white Ibis and other birds. The main center is a short walk away with very attentive staff. Not much golfing taking place but wonderful food and a very pleasant bar. Nice, well dressed people of all ages.
