Enjoyed our time on the course. From the time we arrived the staff was excellent. Only wish I had taken more pictures.
We played both courses here last week and these are the favorites of the 5 places we played in the area (Kiva Dunes; Peninsula; Gulf Shores; Lost Key). Challenging, but open enough to hit driver and even find a few you hit off line. If you're going to Gulf Shores to play, make sure you stop here!
This is our third winter in GS an we always play both Craft Farm courses. We enjoy them both and they are always in great shape. Nice pro shop and restaurant, friendly staff. Depending on how long you will be here, check into their 6-packs. You can use 2 per day and are good until April 1st. We buy our in late fall but I think they may still be available and it will save you some - obviously more, the earlier you buy. Playable for senior women. This course may be a little harder than Cypress Bend for me - a little more water to cross for short shooters. Bathrooms on course and beverage cart.
Great value. We did the double play, which consists of playing both courses for $139. Really good deal. The staff was great, the course was beautiful, the greens were extremely true. Cotton creek is the best of the two. Much better course than kiva dunes.
Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We strive to provide superior customer service and extraordinary golf experiences for every player on our courses, including those with disabilities. At both our courses, Cypress Bend and Cotton Creek, we allow handicapped golfers to drive near tee boxes, greens, and wherever they need to make their walk shorter. I am sorry your needs were not better communicated to our team members the day you played. Regarding the weather, you are not alone! There is nothing more frustrating than having weather interfere with plans for a great day of golf! Again, we appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our service. Regards, Chad Leonard, general manager, Craft Farms Golf Resort
Love this course, we play here every year. The course is great and fair. We eat at the clubhouse and it's always excellent.
My husband and son loved this course! He said it was extremely nice and fair course. During a rain delay they grabbed lunch at the club house, and the food was great too!
Excellent course and helpful staff. Cypress Bend shares a clubhouse with Cotton Creek and the bar/resaurant was a very slow operation. Breakfast sandwiches and coffee took well over 20 minutes for a carry out order. Pack food or hit the cart girl if you are hungry.
We have played at Craft Farms each of the last three years and it has been a great experience each time. We played Cypress Bend twice this week and despite heavy rains over the weekend, the course was in very good shape (with the exception of some sand traps). The course is challenging but not back breaking. If you play from the proper tees you will have a very enjoyable round of golf. We had such a good time on Monday that, after our round, we played 9 more holes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This sets Craft Farms apart in the area. Some courses are almost "mom and pop" with their staff and you have people that don't know what they are doing. Others treat you as if you're fortunate they let you pay to play their course. Craft Farms is neither of those. They provide a "country club for the day" service, but are very laid back at the same time. We'll be back at Craft Farms on our next trip to Gulf Shores.
We have played both courses at Craft Farms and this is my favorite. It is in great shape, is challenging and beautiful. The staff is great, the facilities at the club are great.Pro shop has great selection.
