Stopped in yesterday to see the new store. We were greeted by a friendly staff. I love being able to taste the wines I am interested in. There is a wide variety of wines and a nice variety of gifts. We didn't try the coffee, but my bet is that it was good. This is a good place to stop. You can't beat the reasonable prices.
Try this wine - surprisingly good! Especially the Spanish/Mexican style wines. The staff has been helpful the couple times I've visited and the selection is great!
While on a girlsfriends' weekend, we stopped by Lil' Ole Winemaker Shoppe. Wine tastings, coffee, cheeses and a gift shop provide a nice way to spend some time. They talked about adding a lounge to the shoppe. That will be a GREAT addition!
I love this place! There is a wine for everyone here. This winery has a large variety of wine choices. Liz and her husband (owners) have dry, semi sweet and dessert wines. They have sampling at the Jefferson address. In the summer, you can sit outside and enjoy a glass on their deck.
I recently stopped at the "Lil" Ole Winemaker shoppe with my Brother-in-Law. I was quite surprised at how large a selection they had there and also by how reasonably priced their wine was. They have a small tasting room and after trying a few selections we bought a couple of bottles. Totally satisfied and will stop again.
In their previous location in Rib Mountain it seemed a little crowded. When the new store opens it should be great. Very friendly staff, great wines and supplies for the home wine maker and the a staff that will help you if you want to make your own as well.Great tasting bar, good wines and a great time.
Stopped at the new location today in Wausau! What a great visit! It was the grand re-opening and they were ready to shine! Had a blast tasting wines with my mom and browsing around the gift shop! Will definitely be back! Coffee Bar, Gift Shop, Winery all in one place! The owners were so friendly and welcoming. My mom has done a wine tasting party with her friends and they all loved it! A number of different varieties of wine to try across the board! Go visit!
While attending the Arts in the Park in Wausau we viisted the new store downtown. It was great tasting the various types of wine they produce. The owners were fiendly and very helpful in giving you information on the wine. I really enjoyed the pineapple pear hula and lime margaretta wines. We also enjoyed sampling Kim's barbecue sauces. We will be back on our next visit to Wausau.
Have been here several times with out of town guests in tow. They offer wine tasting on most wines they sell. I think I've purchased 6 bottles accross my visits and have been pleased each time. Along with the wine you will also find a gift shop with all types of wine related accessories and gift type items, hence why we like to bring visitors. For full size bottles (they do offer Splits) expect to pay 12-20 dollars across the range of varietals and blends. From time to time they have discounts on the Internet coupon sites that have been really good. The owners/staff are always pleasant and accomidating.
The owner was so friendly and the wine was pretty good! I had just got back from Italy, so I was so surprised to see they offered a Brunello. Unfortunately, it didn't compare to true Montalcino Brunellos, but all their fruit wines were very yummy! I bought 3 bottles.
