This is the only tubing hill in town, others can be found about 50 minutes drive. Parking lot is easy and convenient, prices are quite reasonable.Warming house has a nice fireplace and very cheap pizza, hot chocolate and hot dogs, if quality is just average. The problem here is the organization. Although they do have two hills side by side, or at least it appeared to be that way, they have only one going. There are not enough tubes, so you have to wait someone go down to hand you one to use. The two lets tubes slip all the time, and then it stops for another minute or so. The actual hill, three nearly identical options to chose to go down are fast and fun, and you can go down in large groups together which is a nice bonus. However, with small amounts of people tubing, the lines are very very slow. It takes nearly 30 minutes for every time you actually tube down the hill, which can make it quite cold waiting in line, and sometimes aggravating.
Been a couple times and if they hills are wet or it is really sunny, they hills can be slow and it isn't as fun, but when thins are frozen it is a blast.
kids loved this place so much they had to come back the next day. It was fun for the whole family and didn't cost much either.
We got there right when they opened for evening skiing so we were able to get several runs in before the lines got too long. It was a lot of fun. There are 6 runs with two tow ropes. The staff was very friendly. I lost my glove on one of the runs, and the employees has retrieved it for me.
Went snowshoeing but had a hard time finding the beginning of the trail. The chalet was closed because it's only open during tubing hours so we couldn't get any directions so followed the ski trail to the first snowshoe sign we saw. It was a great, short little trail. We did it twice as a result but the woods are beautiful, mostly deciduous trees. We saw no other folks in the woods, so it was a quiet time in nature.
It wasn't even busy and you had to wait 1/2 hr in line. They let groups of people go down at once which takes up so much time, they should limit this to 3. I saw groups of 10 go. So when you're standing in line you see 1 group every 5-7 min. come down which leaves you standing there in line waiting. They also need to design the tow up, when the line stops everyone without tension falls off and they have to run up and put them back on, mostly for the little kids. So we were there 2 hours and came down twice..really not worth it for me. This should be run like a waterslide so there's a constant flow of people coming down the hill.
We booked the hill for a private party and everyone had a blast! I am not a fan of outdoor winter activities but flying down a snow-covered hill sure is a thrill! The staff was very friendly & accommodating plus the attendants at the top of the hill were great with the kids. Would definitely go back again!
This place is dangerous. It's disorganized and many many people have gotten injured here... Everything is fun until someone gets hurt. Unfortunately, many unlucky people have.
This place was great! The walk from the chalet to the rope pull is a bit far, if you were planning on just watching your kids. So parents may as well get a tube and go also!
My husband has a party each year for his work and it is fun for all ages. I am not a winter person but I love going here, grew up in the country where we had to climb the hills this is so much beter. I saw a review that it is dangerous so is skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing., rollerskating etc You take a risk no matter what you do in life. This is very fun and one of the few things for families.
