That is the sound of a successful ride! Thanks for your input as it is our mission to help people enjoy their first, second or 100th horseback ride, and scenery this area offers. Kittens! A hot commodity here at the ranch.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. It is so important to us that the horses are ship-shape and happy. We hope to see you again in the very near future. I'd recommend the 3 hour so you can cross the creeks and slurp out of the spring. Delicious!
I decided to take a chance last week and take my 7 year old son to the stables for a ride. I did not make reservations because he had never been on a pony let alone a horse. The staff at the stables were great and arranged for him to sit and walk the horse a bit before deciding on paying for the ride. When we decided to go, Kim arranged a ride with a wonderfully patient wrangler, Kayleigh. My son had a wonderful time and talked about the ride and his horse Roni all week. I have ridden at multiple stables across the country and these horses are among the best behaved, well cared for trail horses I have experienced. I made reservations later in the week and requested Roni again for my son. Kim was very accommodating and had her saddled up for our second ride. Thank you to Kim and Kayleigh. I now have a son who had a great experience for his first ride, and is now excited about horseback riding.
We completely agree! Our petting zoo of years past had tons of animals and was very exciting for everyone. We had 25 rabbits, 5 guinea pigs, 10 kittens, 7-9 goats, a goose, ducks and a lot of chickens and they would all sleep together side-by-side. It was adorable! When we found out it is a felony to run an unlicensed petting zoo, we applied for a license and were given a thick rule book. Yikes!Taking into account the feedback from multiple sources, we are closing it, forever. Sad. We are sad. No more kittens. We have had great kittens over the years, which were all adopted by the camp kids that fell in love with them. There is good news though. In it's place, we are creating a natural play space a tunnel, a sandbox, a mini ropes challenge, places to jump, crawl and climb, blocks to build castles, and more. Best of all, it will be free because the dirt doesn't eat! Come visit.
We fired that answering service. Even I couldn't get straight answer and I knew the answers to my questions! Sorry you had to experience their lack of, everything!Kym
Can't say enough about my ride. Aspens changing color, mountains breath taking, great horse to ride "Wheels", informative guide, Carsten, great trails, and adorable blue healer puppy "Otis" who entertained and joined us for the ride.Everyone was kind, and professional. Was able to purchase an antler for my dog, and the ladies I rode with got horse shoes. It had been a while since I rode, and spent a good deal of my life on a horse, so I can attest to the good healthy horses this facility offers. Thank you!
If only you could see it today! The number yellow trees have doubled each day since the day you visited us. We are nearing the peak of the color season. Thank you for riding with us. It is such a pleasure to share the views with awesome people that are willing to brave the mountainous terrain.
Thank you for taking the time to write a nice review about Vail Stables. I am so happy you braved the mountainous terrain to get a glimpse of its glory.Kym
Thank you for such a wonderful review. Maggie is an outstanding guide and loves working with children. She was the main instructor for our horse camp all summer and the kids love her right back. How did your thighs feel after the long absence from riding?
We love you! Visit again please.
