We attended a performance to see La Traviata during Carnival. It was our first time seeing the opera house. What a gorgeous venue! Simply breathtaking. We had front row seats in a box about three levels up near the center. The seats were great and worth the splurge. You do need to purchase them almost immediately after they become available. The website is very helpful and will tell you when they will be on sale. There were two intermissions, and we bought a few bellinis and glasses of prosecco. The prices weren't that bad. It was efficient. We took our drinks and walked around and gawked at the other beautiful rooms.
Listen a concert or opera in this theatre.. Buy your tickets La Fenice Opera's own web site. Daily Tours are available around 10 Eur. if you do not have time
My lovely husband bought me to Venice as a surprise, if that wasn't a treat enough he took me to La Fenice to see the opera. The Elixir Of Love. Loved it, beautiful opera house. And loved the fireman also in attendance...just in case. Tickets weren't that expensive as compared to London or Glynebourne and it was wonderful! Dress up to and make an experience of it!
This is a world class opera house with a well desrved reputation. Not cheap but well worth the costs. Book in advance if possible to ensure you get the seats you need and the performance of choice. Has special programmes during Carneval. Never disappoints.
You get a nice view on this Opera House, situated near San Marco. It's not for free, but you will see some very nice decorated places.
We visit the Opera House which was very reasonably priced for pensioners. We used the audio guide to look around and this was not too wordy. The whole place is absolutely wonderful, especially sitting in the Royal Box. The café in a lovely room with beautiful chandeliers was as cheap as any ordinary coffee bar in London. Freshly made pastries and rolls and hot coffee rounded off the trip.
we did the self-tour with audio guide for €9 and it was so worth it. The history of the building is fascinating and the interior is mind blowing. Definitely made me want to go and see an opera there when we go back to Venice
We were impressed by the theater, even if it was refurbished so many times after the original was burned down and several time afterwards. We've received audio guides included in the entry price so we could find all the details about the opera house, the beginning of it till our days.
Having never been or considered going to the opera We thought it was something you should do when in venice and i am so pleased we did. We absolutely loved the whole experience. It is a stunning place just incredible. Going here was a huge highlight of our trip to venice.
I was here with my boyfriend for a concert of Keith Jarrett during the jazz weeks. We had a box all to ourselves and it was an experience we'll never forget. Enchanting!
