It's not easy to access on the rutted and sandy roads, but it's worth it! Shallow waters that are warm after the sunsets, soft sand, and not many people!
Water was like a smooth gentle lake. Go out as far as you like, it doesn't get more than 4 feet deep. More than ample tree shade, no need for an umbrella. Need a Jedep to get there.
The water is shallow, you can walk and walk! Great for kids. Tons of seaweed by the shore made this not one of my favorites.
we were the only people on this beach and it was incredible. you can see all the way around the little cove and you feel like you just stumbled into heaven.
Part of the Sun Bay complex just keep driving to find little beach that is perfect if you are not comfortable with waves. An horseshoe shaped beach protected from the elements provides many shady spots for easy access to quiet often calm waters . Shallow but deep enough to let people try out their snorkel gear.
It was a nice walk to Media Luna Beach from the Malecon/ Beach front in Esperanza. We packed a lunch/drinks and had a nice walk through Sun Bay, to Media Luna. Saw only about 6 people, calm waters. Very cool. And on the walk we saw a mongoose!Bring water, bring bug spray, bring a towel!
Shallow for a long way out, lots of shade , soft white sand and peaceful. Perfect for young families. There are maby places to hang a hammock.
Media Luna is not a Miami Beach scene. It's quiet, very natural and a sort of local atmosphere. I really enjoy it.
Never have I experienced such fine grained white sand. Shallow and clear, the water was perfect for young kids. Bring an umbrella if you need shade as there isn't much there.
Do not go to Puerto Rico without taking the Ferry over to Vieques and going to Media Luna Beach. Beautiful white sand in a circular bay area where you can walk out 500 feet into waste deep water and be surrounded by coral blue water and small fish. Make sure you rent a Jeep or a Scooter because it is impossible to get back to the beach with a normal car and the Taxis will not go back in the area. Expect to see few people on one of the most beautiful places on earth
