Thank you very much for your review. The colourful beach huts at Wells have been the focus of many a holiday snap and paintings - a great sight as you say. Don't forget there are toilets too at the Rose Garden Cafe in Holkham village just opposite the entrance to Holkham beach.
This is one of my favorite beaches:) It's almost perfect, only there's problem with WC :( Need walk long distance to reach it..
Many thanks for posting your review on our beautiful coastline. It's a great place any time of the year as you discovered.
The area is truly beautiful & worth a visit by anyone who appreciates the natural beauty of the UK coast & countryside. Admittedly it was January when we visited, but the wind blows in straight off the north sea & as such it's pretty chilly, so wrap up warm.If you wear the right apparel, enjoy a walk, bracing see air & Britain's coastline then head there as you won't be sorry.
Always enjoy a walk round this area. Lots to see, birds, mammals and marsh scenery. You can walk through onto wonderful Holkham and Wells beaches. There are hides so you have somewhere to sit to look over the marshes particularly if the weather is not good.
Just live this place whatever the time of year. Walking on the beach today was wonderful the sky so blue and clear. There is a mobile van selling drinks and snacks, but no toilet facilities, unless you walk to the public toilets near Pinewoods site and the Beach cafe.
Get there early to watch the geese take off, the sight and sound of thousands of geese is just wonderful. Waking through the trees and then onto the desolate beach is wonderful. Especially in winter with the wind - it will knock any cobwebs you may have right out of you. Stunning place.
Boxing day 2014 with friends and four legged friends, got there early to miss the crowds as its a very popular place, beautiful scenic place, dogs loved it and mananged to some gret pictures.
It sounds like you had the perfect day - Thank you for your comments and review of our beautiful coast.
Good car park, excellent bird hides in wonderful pine forest and long walks along miles of sandy beach and salt marshes. No facilities here, go to Holkham village.Nothing to dislike except car park charge.
