As a resident of Windsor, this is my favourite park to come and visit. It is a small park within a 10 minute drive from downtown and Cesar's Windsor. Free parking is also a big bonus. The relaxed environment provides an excellent location to sit back an enjoy the scenery. I would also recommend this park as a great picnic location. The Peace Fountain provides for excellent pictures and the gardens are very well-kept. I recommend coming at night to see the fountain when it is all lit up.
We took a stroll and enjoyed the beautiful gardens, tranquility and fresh air.
A great place for a quiet stroll any time of the year right in the heart of the city.
This is a great park with wonderful views and impeccable gardens, a must if you are a visitor to Windsor
lovely scenery flowers are lovely especially the sculptured bushes floating fountain is remarkable
A great location overseeing Detroit Belle Island. Very interesting park that you will enjoy anytime of the day, specially at dusk.Snow or shine, this park has a lot of natural beauty, shrubs, fishing (yes early morning fishing), clean wide lawns and a very beautiful fountain. The Windsor Symphony Orchestra plays there in the spring. Loads of fun for the family, picnics, skating, photography, strolling. There is a display of light with the fountain in summer day evenings.
If you're touring Windsor take Riverside Drive a couple of miles East of Downtown to Coventry Gardens. Of course there are beautiful gardens and interesting vegetation and topiary but there are also expansive lawns where your children can play. Walkways lined with giant stones lead you through the park. In the mornings especially this is a significant sport fishing spot. Most summer weekends you can see bridal parties being photographed. There is a giant fountain right in the Detroit River that goes through endless patterns shooting water 100 feet in the air. It is even better at night with ever changing multi-color illumination. Coventry Gardens is part of the 8 km Windsor waterfront park system and is a wonderful quiet and peaceful place to visit, relax, read or take your family,
About 8kms east from downtown Windsor on Riverside Dr East you'll find Coventry Gardens aka Reaume Park, home of the Peace Fountain.Parking is amply but can be challenging during the warmer months, a popular place for wedding shots. Along river you'll find people fishing over the railing on the lengthy concrete ledge. The gardens are well manicured and picnic table are scattered around shaded by many trees. The Peace Fountain is the highlight of Conventry Gardens. If you're in Windsor from May to October ensure you make a point visit the attraction which as graced many postcards. It's returned to is place in set along the river front during the Victoria holiday in May where it remains until Thanksgiving and stored for Winter. The Peace Fountain make for an idyllic evening walk and concerts are held during summer evening.A beautiful part of Windsor's river front.
Park on waterfront in Windsor. Enjoy the gardens, the international ships and boats.
This hidden gem is on Riverside Dr in East Windsor. It's a well cared for riverfront location that has lush colorful gardens, benches, and paved pathways. Lot's here for camera enthusiasts or a good place to read without crowds on a sunny day.
