Found this when checking out Westfield State Univ. What a beautiful and well-kept park. Loved the flower garden, the pond, the walking paths in the woods, and the Japanese gardens. Absolutely amazed by the bathroom facilities. Could spend hours here.
Stanley Park is veery nice place to go for a variety of outdoor activities for all ages. There are formal gardens. Paved walking paths though a variety of easy terrain, with various types of gardens, a duck & fish pond. Picnic areas. Tennis courts. Grassy fields fore soccer, etc. There are marked paths through an undeveloped section of the park. there's a cultivated wild flower garden. There is lots to see and do. Special events are held here throughout the season
The first time I came to the park (I moved to the area as an adult) I was impressed with the lovely gardens and features. A variety of styles and features from formal rose garden to duck ponds, Asian inspired areas, etc. Really pleasant place.
Ive lived in the are for most of my life. Stanley park is beautiful! Great way too spend the day with a picnic lunch and the kids....
Very nice Park. Especially in the spring with the bloom of flowers. The Park attendants do a really excellent job in maintaining the entire Park. The building down below the flower gardens are truly something to see and explore. A very calming experience.
Stanley Park one of the most beautiful places in Westfield. Neat and clean park. We were went there in last year with my family and had arranged a small party, was a memorable time for me.
Not many small cities can boast a large and lovely private park that is open to the public. This is a peaceful and precious asset, a place for contemplation, exercise, occasional entertainment events and just the sheer enjoyment of being outdoors. The Rose Garden, the wildflower trail, picnic areas, duck pond, athletic fields, walking paths, tall and ornamental trees and shrubs. benches, restroom facilities all contribute to wholesome family outings. Dog friendly and open to all ages, the park represents a generous corporate bequest and private donations that have made the park a reality and a beloved corner of the community for decades.
Ive been many many many times. Just to take a nice peaceful walk in the woods, feed the ducks & turtles in the ponds, or even weddings. Rose garden is beautiful. Plenty of picnic areas too.
If you like the solitude of the outdoors this is your place. The large well maintained park serves as a place for outdoor weddings and other events. There is a large safe playground for the young kids and several hiking trails. There are several gardens to viewing and if you like to feed the ducks, there is a nice little pond. Nice and relaxing spot.
